I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone in Alpha this season. We had a lot of very good teams here this season. We were just the lucky ones to win it. Winning this league is a high point for me only because of the caliber of teams we had to face. Quite honestly, I feel (at least in Alpha, again I don't know a LOT about Zeta teams) at least 5-6 teams in Alpha are teams which could make a statement in AA ball. I understand that Dublin is higher level and all that, and I'd take the season on those terms. However, I already feel we played some AA level competition this season, and I think there are many teams in this league that should be proud of their team and their accomplishments. Teams like Western Europe, Dresden, and Malta immediately come to mind, only because they got beat by us in the playoffs... without Dublin there, and number of teams could have played against Wildcat, and the outcome would be very, very interesting to me. Also London, Hollywood, and Mandi's all had very solid seasons, and London came closest to beating us, with our regular season 36-20 victory (our smallest margin of victory all season). Then you have teams like Birmingham, Western Europe, and Belgian, who all have top quality teams. Birmingham put a good game up in the playoffs, and all season long against top teams, Belgian beat Malta to show they have the potential, and Western Europe has, in my opinion, the best defense in this league... if they improve their offense, I suggest you watch out for them if you end up in a league with them.

Overall, this has been a very healthy, and competitive, league. If not for the 49ers showing us the way last season, we would not have gone to great lengths to revamp our lineup to put us over the top this season.

So, I'd suggest those who aren't moved up into AA keep an eye on Wildcat next season. I feel there were a number of teams in Alpha that were on par with them, and whatever they do, you could have done also, had it not been for a spectacularly lucky offseason for Dublin. Your teams are just that good.

So, thanks for putting together good teams and good competition. The size of our wins, in many cases, does NOT show the ability of the teams we played. Since this league will not likely be here next season, good luck to everyone wherever they end up!

Cherrie, will you be opening up for some scrimmages next season or will it still be the "no-scrimmage" rule?

I'm sorry, but, yeah... I don't do scrimmages. I just feel there is more downside than upside to scrimmages.
