Haha, I don't mind. The sPR threads are usually made for discussion purposes... the only ones I didn't request to be hijacked were the Week 5 Unofficial (for constructive criticism of the formula only) and the petition one.

So go ahead, flame anyone you want in this thread, flame the rankings, this is made for the enjoyment of the league and all thsoe who feel like they have a need to express something.



I don't think I will flame anyone for the rest of the year or the rankings ever again. I did predict our fall last week, even commenting that it was deserved. I guess this weeks was skewed with WCB's loss as if they win I think we fall again. I appreciate the work people put in to their teams and the work you do here.

I felt a little insulted when we kept on beating those top ten teams and the power rankings didn't reflect it, but I saw in the long run those teams kept losing (ATL comes to mind) so I changed my attitude. I'm not as cocky as the first PRs made me seem to be, I just felt based on THOSE facts something was off. But I got to understand the numbers so I shut up

I feel the same way about BHB, Slayton... I think I made that known in the writeup. BHB has only lost to two great teams in Detroit and Prague, but like I said you guys are on an entirely different level from the rest of the teams in Alpha and the rest of the league.

This is what I believe the tier system to look like.

Haha, must have your sarcasm slash joke detector off... I was just messing around, cappy. I'm glad you see now the reason why Detroit was not moving up. Remember, the whole issue with the Saratov Vindicators slash Albuquerque Regulators messed up the first half of the season. Both R U N? and Minsk beat them early in the season, but as you can see now none of those three teams are amounting to much this season. Hopefully these guys can turn it around in season three.

And to be honest, I see Windy City sneaking back into the top ten by season's end but they won't be anywhere near a top five sPR team. Too many hard rubs for them this season.

Week 14 Power Rankings completed.

I'm actually confused now.

I don't think this game matters as much as I thought it does.

ADD beat Kiev, Kiev beat us. So, even if we beat ADD, we still end up in the same spot via tiebreaker...right? Or does that make us fourth and Kiev fifth?

I'm so frickin confused on tiebreakers in this game.

We get respect from everyone in the league but people on GCP. I grant that you guys have beat us twice.

In the playoffs last year, I really had no clue about tactics and was just screwing with the system... you guys DOMINATED us because I was clueless.

This year, I OVERADJUSTED because I knew you guys would try to stop our run... and threw the ball too much. Again, I didn't know enough about the passing game in GLB because I always ran a run first offense.

I think everyone can see that I've learned a lot and our TEAM has also learned a lot about building their players, setting advanced tactics, and scouting our team and our opponents successfully. We have come a long way because we have gained a LOT of knowledge since I took over exactly 40 days ago.

I don't normally make guarantees, or try to 'sell' my team... but we are a good team, and have proved it against all the top teams in this league... if we make it to the league championship game, I GUARANTEE that we will not be beaten. We may lose, but whomever we play will not BEAT us. I further guarantee that if we meet GCP in the playoffs, we will win by 14 points.

I've been modest, because I didn't know if I'd learned enough, and I know like everyone else there is a lot more to learn. It also takes a LOT of time and effort from a lot of people to get info on oppoenents, correlate that info, create a game plan, and put that game plan into place (not only through tactics, but advanced tactics, levelling up, and some other things I won't get into to give away one of our biggest secrets). We are a top tier team... NOT behind SGA and LRC, but with them. Do not deny us what we have EARNED.

Finally, to Combat Warriors. We have watched you play. We ARE afraid. But we've been afraid of DET, EXP, ATL, and BHB before playing them. It will be a good game. I hope we win. We will give our best.

I see strength of schedule being brought up a lot. After 14 weeks, is it really an issue?

If there is a 2 way tie, heads up matchup is the tie breaker. If there is a tie, it is points scored. So if you end up 11-4-1 and so did another team, and the tie was with the other team, it would go to total points scored.

If there is a multi way tie, then the first tiebreaker is games between tied teams. So let's say DET, KIE, GCP all ended up tied.

GCP is 0-2 against you and Kiev.
DET is 1-1 agsinst GCP and Kive.
KIEV is 2-0 vs GCP and DET.

Kiev gets the first tiebreaker.
DET is next.
GCP is next.

So, in this case, assuming PRA, BHB, and ADD are all ahead of you...

Kiev is 4th
DET is 5th
GCP is 6th.

Never doubt that we are ALWAYS afraid... afraid of losing. We will do the same thing we always do... give our best and see what happens. I guarantee that if we meet in the playoffs, we WILL be afraid

Hey Saw, Thanks again for all you do. I have a legit question, wasent the reason for the SOS4 so early in the season we could get a read on teams that had played different schedules? it would seem we all have played the same teams now except one, and was wondering if your final ranking would still include the SOS4since everyone would of played everyone after next game.

it seems the SOS4 may have lost its usefullness, just my 2 cents.

I do mean this a legit point, not a "why am I not ranked higher" post, I think most here know I dont bitch about being ranked 10th or 1st. What do the rest of you think at least for the next game (when we all have played the full schedule)?

It's basically the final week that will make the difference in sawedust's SoS formula. For example, our SoS will end weak with a game against Palermo. Combat Warriors will play LRC (or SGA, don't remember which now), and that means their SoS for the season will be higher.

I'm just happy to be apart of a top 10 team in a league that's so damned competitive.

All I know is three playoff wins = a title

And, fittingly enough, looking at it, our three games might be against teams we lost to in the regular season. Oh man, revenge may be the definition of our playoff run I vote we allow Combat to run the table and win it all so we all stay here , I'd hate to see one of these staple teams leave, even if I lost to them in the regular season. Damnit, that may be an insult on Combat. I don't care.

Thanks to Cherrie for the explanation of the playoff seeding. I get it, but don't want to. It makes my head hurt. Understanding the BCS was easier as I just removed the c and saw it for what it was.

As for Zeta teams, I don't even wanna go there yet. Let me worry about Alpha first
