maybe take the top 6, and then the bottom 2 go to the teams that have the most wins against the non-top 6 teams...that's my 2 cents

or you could just try to win in the first place and make the playoffs

i just think there sould be something for lower teams i really dont care if im 10 or 2 the lower half needs something just because i didnt get the high caliber players that you did isnt my fault i wasnt paying the scalpers the high pice for half a season and high sighn bonus to play if you did great

I like it, but not for a real playoff play in. The teams who don't make it into the playoffs play scrimmages with random teams from the other conference. I wouldn't mind to play teams from my own conference, it could lead to rivalries heading into the next season and making the game slightly more fun.

No trophies.

No playoff play in.

that wasn't exactly the OP's original suggestion, but I think a "Toilet Bowl" for the 16 teams that didn't make the playoffs with a little toilet trophy would be cool

I'd be all for a consolation bracket though. The two teams that make it to the end get to have the jumbo tron watching option as their reward.
