I have been a rays, lightning, bucs and magic fan for as long as i can remember,

Rays: 11 of 12 60 win seasons = fail

Lightning: Probably full of plenty of fail

Bucs: Besides the '02 SB. Pretty much a franchise full of fail.

Magic: Some playoff appearances but not doing shit with them.

Florida sucks in general.

Tebow = Tim Couch of teh new Millennium

Tebow is a lottery prize, unfortunatly the lions wont be able to win it...but just maybe the jets can! Thats one of the VERY few reasons that Im happy the bears have Cutler....they wont waste a pick on Tebow.

49ers and Whitesox fan. I used to have respect for the giants for an NL team, but Bonds can suck it even though I like him more then Sosa and Mcguire

Im a Giants fan and hate him as a person. He DID build the new stadium himself though.

Well lucky for Florida there are a lot more teams than the ones you mentioned. Otherwise you may be right.

But honestly, who gives a damn about baseball anyway? Baseball to football is like comparing a first born to an adopted step-child. Everyone acts like there is nothing wrong and everything is equal but as soon as the airplane is one person to heavy.....you know who's going skydiving.

Come on, seriously? Isn't everyone getting tired of saying Tim Tebow is going to be a failure? If he WASN'T as big of a success in NCAA then no one would be writing him off as an NFL player. Just because the guy had an incredible season, won the heisman, a national championship one season later and happens to be one of the biggest stand-up guys out there everyone wants to say he isn't going anywhere in the pros. I guess we will just wait and see what happens.

We all know that NCAA awards don't mean shit when it comes to the NFL. I could reach into the handbag and pull out quite a few names of Heismann winners who didn't amount to shit in the NFL. All of which were just as hyped as Tebow. I'll agree that he won't be a Tim Couch, but calling him a phenom before he even puts on a worthwhile uniform, is pretty stupid. He's just another over glossed athlete until he can prove otherwise.

I never said his awards meant anything. I was simply saying if he didn't win them and wasn't as hyped then people wouldn't be so critical of him. We will just have to wait and see what happens, I agree until he is proven then he is just like every other player coming into the draft.

Awards don't mean much, but Tebow IS a proven winner unlike Couch when he was drafted. Nobody said he will be an NFL phenom. He's not even that hyped for an NFL prospect. He more than likely won't be an early pick, so he even if his pro career doesn't work out he can't be as big of a bust as Couch or other top draft picks that fail.
