The Ozzie thing was done on purpose. I did graduate from Bama and I'm proud to have him as a fellow alumni.

The game against Reading coming up will likely be a swing game for both teams and vault the winner back up into the playoff race.

Things have been grim in Grim since my life turned into a C&W song. Quintuple bypass surgery in January (I was awake and talking the day after surgery, but the hospital did an "oops" and gave me meds that shouldn't be mixed which sent me into respiratory arrest & they had to put me back onto the respirator (but the nurse "forgot" to turn the damned thing ON, so my Mom raised 3 shades of hell after my oxy monitor kept going down.... down.... down...). Took them another 6 days to get me breathing on my own again.... which padded the hospital bill nicely, leaving me ~$50,000-$60,000 in medical bill debt as I later found out that my BC/BS $2500/yr maximum "out of pocket" was a complete lie.... Seems our parent company didn't really give us a BC/BS plan.... just a BS plan. (They wrote their own "policy" and just hired BC/BS to manage it.)

And speaking of my company.... after receiving multiple unsolicited reassurances during all of January & February to "Don't worry, your job is safe!", I spent >$5,000 doing house repairs (hurricane damage + A/C ducting leaks which caused it to "rain" inside the house, right through the sheet rock), only to get laid off the 1st day I got back.... just as soon as they had my medical release in their hot little hands. (A classic case of age-discrimination, as they laid off the 2 oldest & highest paid in our dept., but kept the youngest & least proficient one, just because SHE made less money.... but no one enforces that particular law, so what good is it? - Isn't the EXECUTIVE branch of government responsible for enforcing the laws? )

As complicated as Bort has made the AI's now-a-days, I haven't had time to devote to it much, as I've been preoccupied with job hunting & trying to keep the wolves at bay.....

....Oh yea, after spending 8 hours & $504 at the vet's office early last week, my dog died in my bathroom that same night.

mate that sounds all rather harsh!!!

I moan about our (England/UK) Health service, but really we should never grumble much. Its all free (apart from the tax that comes out of my wages to help pay for it all).

Sorry to hear about your dog too. not nice.

sorry for beating your ass in the last game too

Normally I am not the "ambulance chaser" type, but from the sounds of it, you have got grounds for a lawsuit or settlement from the hospital. If they made mistakes that extended your stay, you should be entitled to at least the cost of those extra days, which will make the final bill a lot more manageable.

For real man. It really sounds like you have an excellent legal case there.

I wish.... but with the 1st sniff of a potential lawsuit, you can bet yer ass the hospital records will get a LOT better doctoring than I did.
