If your team outlevels the opposition by 15 levels on average, they don't have to be gutted. Your player (and any other single player on the same team) wasn't particularly valuable - the team would have still crushed the opposition without him. So at least in the "Player most valuable to his team" context, this makes perfect sense to me to strongly devalue numbers put up against overmatched opposition, regardless of what the reason for the gap is. Of course, you have a point if you prefer the MVP variants of "Best player / best team" or "Best overall player", but for what my opinion is worth, I prefer Bort's more balanced version that doesn't reward people for simply being much higher level than the opposition.



less then a quarter of our roster is over lvl 48, mostly we have ppl in or around 40-45, all of our backups are 30-32 (the original team, with a few exceptions)....

The Blitzers average 37-40 pretty much across the board with some exceptions.

You could say we out leveled them by 5, or I would even let 10 slide without saying anything, but 15 is a tad ridiculous. At least get some solid info before you just look at our team profile page and assume everyone is 50

Taximus is now the #1 MVP Defensive player in the conference. The odd thing about that is that he is the 3rd best player at his position on the team!!!

The MVP race makes no sense. Most of Taximus' stats come from Special Teams. He should be the MVP for ST, not for Def. Not sure where Bort pulls his numbers...

When you're done trying to justify your team being in this league despite being the wrong level range (which I am not bothered by, I'm sure you'd prefer to be in a competitive league yourself, should be fixed next year), go re-read my post for the spirit, not the arbitrarily-selected number of 15. Your team outranked the opposition by nine points on the scouting bars. Your lowest-level starter on O/D is level 42, which is higher than all but one of their O/D starters. Your average starter level is in the neighborhood of 48-49 (again, S/T not being factored in because there's not that much of a difference between a level 30 punter and a level 50 punter), which is roughly 8-9 levels higher than their average - more than enough to make a game lopsided, as the result clearly indicated.

I can understand the frustration of being "punished" for being better than the opposition, but I personally prefer the idea of rewarding the individuals who make a difference for their team over those who contribute to regular 100+ point beatings.

I am not trying, nor I care to justify anything. I am telling you that you came on here spouting half truths and exaggerations and I am telling you your full of crap. That is what that was. You obviously agree with me, and that was the point.

We should've been promoted, and while I think its gay that the HB slam bull kept us here, I am looking forward to getting our gold trophy that we deserved last season.

And, if you think 8 levels = 100 point beatings, I refer you to your own team, who beat what, 2 teams last season that were on average 8-10 lvls higher then yours.

There is no ineptitude, we were the best team in the league last season, and nothing has changed this season. There is no guess work to it, we got beat by an exploit that Bort admitted to and did as much as he could to fix during the offseason. It was an exploit we knew about, and knew we could win no probs if we used, but it is a faggot ass way to win and we wanted no part of it.

I'm not sure what your problem is with us, other than the fact that you will be waiting until next season for your trophy.

I have nothing to be sour about, I lost to some BS, where as the only way I could have won would have been to do the same thing, and simple fact is, I don't ever want to win a game that way.

Now I get to stay here and tromp you this season, and build up my finances even more, 4 home playoff games will be nice. Plus I don't have to get promoted trophy-less, which is always a bonus. You stand the possibility of having that happen to you, and then you will be in AA and get tromped again, so I guess it is easy to see who really is the sour one here.

I think they have the talent to give you guys a run, but it will have to wait till their chemistry goes up. If you guys meet in the playoffs it will be a nasty game for sure. This game I think that MMM will handle Odessa fairly easy. The chemistry is just way too low. In an otherwise even matchup chemistry kills.
