Because your team was in a league you couldn't compete in last year, does not mean this season is "fair" for you because you out level people by 10.

As Dub J has said... were not calling you cheaters, we are just saying that your team shouldn't be in this league and that there has been a mishap in the league shuffling.

I personally don't care that my team had to play you in a scrimmage, I don't care about your team nor what you think is fair to you because of what your last season was like.. But that doesn't change the fact that your team shouldn't be placed in the league you are in. But it also doesn't mean your team should be in a league like your last seasons. Your team should be in a 35-40 league where you would be able to compete.

To whoever was calling your team a bunch of cheaters, obviously is a moron. Instead of calling you guys cheaters they should have just made a point to Bort saying you guys are level 36+ and should be placed within a league that suits your team to where you could compete.

Now you should be the "bigger" man or team and acknowledge the fact that your team shouldn't be in a capped 24 league and that the shuffling made a mistake. And everyone else who is calling you cheaters need to get over the fact that things in life don't always go the way the should.

Now don't reply to my post if your going to talk to me like I am one of the people who are calling you a cheater, because as you read above, I am not calling you one. I'm simply agreeing with my friend Dub J.

Nobody should even be insulting each other over a game which is played via the internet. Talking smack in the safety of your own home, behind your computer screen only means one thing..

You need to grow the hell up. (And that is pointed towards anyone and everyone on GLB not just this league who likes to talk smack on GLB in the safety of their own home.)

I dont think beating teams you outlevel by 10 level is "Earning" a promotion.

I agree with what BigGoliath is saying. Folks, let's not make this personal. It is simply a matter of a team that has been misplaced. As I said in another thread, there are several players outside this team that should be removed. It's not just SEC SPEED. There are a couple of level 40+ players that need to be removed from this league as well.

Two wrongs don't make a right, itS. Don't you see what is happening here? Last season your team was thrown to the lions. Now this season your team is being turned loose on teams that you outlevel. I can understand you being upset that people are calling you cheater (if you truly didn't request a flag for demotion), but you seem to have a lack of understanding for the situation.

I must say that it seems odd that you guys have all those players at level 35+ and then a bunch of level 18s.

Those people are some of the users in our IRC Chatroom who joined GLB way after the team was created. And we gave them a spot on the team. Nothing too odd with that, i guess it could be a waste of salary money if they don't play much, but thats up to the teams owner.

DubJ and BigGoliath and everyone else i want to be in a fair league too but our team shouldn't have to bend or break or drop any players for a GLB error sorry i doubt your team would do that if in this position...

If you read the thread here bort said he will try to do something before the season starts (other then that im sorry for getting upset but being called cheaters then being asked to break up the team is insulting to me because i know crux and he is a great guy irl and great team owner)

Sometimes I think there's a better chance of peace in the Middle East, than peace in a GLB forum post.

When it comes to "fairness", I'll admit that our being in this league is "unfair". But then, so was our getting promoted as the 10th best team in BBB in Season 7 into a league of players 20+ levels higher than our players (as opposed to 10-12+ here). In the the current case, you may have to play our 10-12+ level players once a year. In the case of Season 8, we had to play 20+ level players _every game_, and won none. Which is more fair?

I'm usually more than willing to concede points to people in order to facilitate "fairness". But given the nature of this game, how can I ensure that other situations will be fair to SEC SPEED? I cannot, and thus I place my faith in the mathematical sorts, for better or worse.

I also think you guys are overreacting a bit. For one thing, we play pretty much like a Casual League team. We've only ever used the Offense AI a couple of times to try out some gimmicks. We were been beaten by lower-level teams in Season 7 through vastly superior tactics. Secondly, most of my 30+ level players are "experimental" builds. Sure, some of them are pretty good, but others are comic flops... and totally ineffective. And last, we prefer to play our newer players and try crazy ideas, rather than stack the deck to blow people out.

If you're still "afraid" of our team, look at the first pre-season games. Seven teams scored more points than we did. I would think some of you would be itching for the chance to beat us, and some quite possibly could.

I don't think any of us are as worried about you during the regular season. One loss is still 15-1. The problem I think most of us are having with your team is the playoffs. How can any of us expect to beat you guys in the playoffs?

We're practically kissing our chances at a League Championship goodbye for a team that shouldn't even be in our league to begin with.

I understand your situation, but wouldn't it just be easiest to request getting put into, say, a 34 capped league? Even a 31 capped league would be more appropriate than this one.

Hey guys, sorry that my team ended up here with a few high level players. But it's just a team of me and my buddies and a few other people. We actually started slowbuilding last year and I tossed my extra player on it since he wasn't going to get signed elsewhere and we needed to fill out the roster.

The majority of the team is below level 20, though, so I doubt we'll win many games. Especially with no depth. I'm just slowly building up the team until I can recruit or just have a place for me and my friends to have a squad and not worry about winning or losing but just having fun.

And I didn't put in a request where to be shuffled. I just left the team as is and the median worked out this way. But as I said, we're actually underleveled on the whole, so I doubt we'll do much winning.
