Yeah, we don't have the cash for upgrades. That is for sure... I don't think we will have cash flow issues that will force us to go CPU.




Use your cash you get from preseason ticket sales, and upgrade all the seating that you can before your first game. You'll get that money back in no time, plus you'll make more from concession sales.

The guys that don't have full lower bowls are gonna struggle.


yeah, I have all the sections maxed out right now so we should be able to make some cash this season to build up the stadium to contend next year...

That's not a fair arguement. WSR is in its 4th season, the stadium is 100% Complete and we've afforded level 32, 40, & 48 gear throughout much (not all) of the porcess by managing our money properly.

Since when is money management an exploit. Eventually, your team is going to fold if you don't get that stadium built. You WILL run out of money and players to trade.

He's saying my team exploited money by throwing a playoff game so we'd stay in a lower league and make more money.

While I was one of the first to disapprove of your throwing of that game, I do see the process as to why you did it. Not that I would have done the same, but I know that you did it to keep your players together(I never quite bought into the logic on that one, but who cares what I think), and not to exploit the money aspect. He's stayed true to keeping that original group pretty much intact so I think the issue of Firehazard and his team throwing the game should just end. It was like 4-5 seasons ago, let it go people.

It is a pity that there is such mixed advice and instruction for new owners.

I have been lucky, when I took over Solomon Island from OC, I didn't have a clue about stadia, concessions or even the structure of the leagues. We quickly became uncapped and I was fortunate enough to get a financial GM on board who has worked wonders.

Teams that are going to survive long-term need a long term plan. We will have a completed stadium with all sections maxed out in two more seasons and I have been lucky enough to recruit a team who have signed minimum contracts and are happy to stay.

That said, we are still one CB and one WR down on what we would like and will probably play the season out shorthanded because I refuse to outbid other owners over greedy agents.

We use ticket sales to pay wages and stadium development and concessions to pay for equipment.

It is always a shame to lose established teams, but it is difficult to keep focused on the long term plan and not go for the over-priced players to compete immediately. Even keeping a team together through a period of rebuilding, is no mean feat.

I wish everyone luck this season, I don't want anyone to go CPU, but I'm not entirely sure I want us to go up to AAA just yet...
