Thats why we dominated everyone last year ehh. Only loss coming to a 54 ovrall. It has to do with the team chemistry how they all boost together and team sht comes into it. It was a mystery but we would have easily kILLed everyone in this league had we stayed. Consider yourself lucky to be in this league the season you got in

average level of 40, and team rating of 51? either i'm missing something, or you're lucky you got out of here before you got embarrassed by a bunch of level 25's.

Here I am, promoted after finishing 6th in my conference and losing an opening round playoff game...

I really would have liked to stay behind and maybe contend for a conference title this year, but since I'm rolling in with ALL lvl 20-21 players, I'll be putting up a fight and looking like a doormat... lol

At any rate, if you came from EE BBB 12 Zeta... good to see you (sort of)

We're not recruiting a single player. Would rather succeed or fail with what we already have. Should make it "interesting" for us.

the only higher level players we are bringing in are current agents players that are needed for us to fill spots left from players leaving the team

Don't get me wrong. I wasn't knocking anyone recruiting higher leveled players. We just built this team as a bunch of friends hoping to stick things out for the long run. To be honest, we really weren't planning on getting promoted this season. Our plans were to succeed in Seasons 2,4,6...etc of our existence. This promotion just puts us back a season is all. Should be fun regardless though.

We recruited a level 28 punter (my own) for obvious "uncapped" reasons , added a level 24 WR, 23 LB, and 28 QB. But other than that we are the same. All are from either my players or the owner's players. All were guys we were planning on adding anyway (since about mid-season) but were already under contract in other places. These just round our team out, 2 QBs (instead of 1), 5 true WRs (instead of 4 and a TE), and a 7th LB for mostly special teams and perhaps a few 3-4 sets if we run them.

Like the Presidents, we're keeping the team intact and going forward. It was conceived as a group a while back and will stay that way. Last season we succeeded together, this season we'll test that level 28 punter I brought on board (who, incidentally wouldn't be needed if my other punter hadn't fallen so far behind the curve last season ).

No matter who recruits or doesn't recruit it will definitely still be a fun season. Of that, I have no doubt.

This is the second time you've come back to these forums to post something about how your team would beat the teams that just got promoted from an expansion league. That's like bragging that your college football team would beat the crap out of your old high school team. Is there a point? I'm pretty sure no one here cares.

I know Warsaw Nightmare isn't planning to go out and recruite a bunch of higher level players - just because we've had a plan in place for a while & want to stay true to our original agents. But I'm not sure I agree with the prevailing sentiment that teams shouldn't go out and recruit high level players just to keep the league "balanced" or "competitive".

I mean... I don't want to lose to a team full of level 40 players either. But I don't think I'd begrudge any teams that went out and had successful recruiting classes.

To me it's more about doing the fun things like game-planning. Last season there were only two teams that I didn't have to watch game film for (Apatity Awesome and The Brotherhood). All the others were competitive enough that the real strategies behind GLB came out. Player to player matchups, defensive trends, offensive trends, the whole nine yards. Our one regular season loss sucked, but I don't begrudge it. We sold out for a certain formation and the other team didn't run it that much. Dem's da breaks.

I might be crazy, but this game is more fun that way. The chance to win is more important than the winning itself. I don't mind going 0-16 if we had a chance to win all those games and just came up short. With the league as it is now, we have no chance against several teams and that number will most likely only increase as other teams do more no-cap recruiting. What's the point, twiddle my thumbs for 50 days and wait? I'd rather be gameplanning.

Meh. Maybe I'm just weird.
