Just to be clear, I am not taking anything away from the Rhinos either. I am simply saying that LOL+ ISlam = Guaranteed victory against ANY team in GLB.

I respect both teams very much for making this decision. Great job to both sides.

GG LOL. You guys have one hell of a team. and it was good to play an exciting game. Hopefully next season all games will be exciting as such.

And as the Rhino's OC, I'd like to formally bow down to the defensive greatness of Brutus Buckeye. Simply amazing.

You know, I actually felt bad for you SV because everyone in APL treated you like a chump but now I understand why.

Seeing as how they already beat the only other team that could match up with them in an ISLAM fest, I think it is safe to say they can beat anyone.

Thanks for the good game Hokie and the rest of LOL. The entire Rhino team put our all into this game and playoffs so it was satisfying to see a well played game.

On the topic of si slam - I assume you are referring to MEM as the only team that can compete with LOL in a slamfest... They did lose today in the USP title game against a team who was slightly more balanced. The loss could be attributed in part because of the complete reliance on the slam.

tbh I think the si slam was somewhat of a self fullfilling prophecy. Everyone worked themselves up into a tizzy about it, but there were quite a few teams who took losses in the playoffs who would probably have been better served running a more balanced attack

Steve, Brutus, WIse (we're 0-2 against you now you bastard), and the rest of the Rhinos, great game, and are themselves class acts all the way around. Great season for you guys capped off only the way a great team does. Congrats all around.

For the record, I knew Steve wasn't going to go all SI slam, so I just PMd him to let him know that they didn't need to be worried about us doing it. We've been without a title for 2 seasons (3 now) and we didn't want one from using an exploit like the slam. Honestly, I would've MUCH rather had the Rhinos running one play the entire game. They're a bitch to game plan for otherwise.

Again, congrats to Steve and the Rhinos, well deserved. Sorry to the guys on LOL and the rest of Elephant conf, seems like we're the only Elephant team to lose to Lion . Hopefully S9 will get here soon and we can work on getting back to the title game to be Lion's whipping boys again...

Congratulations to both teams for making the finals and more importantly being class acts. I am impressed with both ballclubs and hats off to the Rhino's, really nice job! The title is coming back to Elephant though in season 9...
