Your OC spent a lot of time putting together that gameplan? LMAO. Give me a break.

How hard is it to put together a gameplan that involved running to the right on exactly 3 different plays? I venture to guess I could do it in about 4 minutes.

There's a difference between a run-first offense, and what you guys did for the Championship game. Stop using the "Rome didn't think our offense was very good" defense, too. You actually tried to pass the ball against Rome and you ran running plays other than I-Slam and Strong-I-Slam. So, no...you haven't been beaten running the exact same offense, because you waited until you played a team that you knew you couldn't beat playing straight up to break out the exploit usage.

Everyone in the forum knows you guys wouldn't have won the game if you played them straight-up. It's fine...you used a known exploit, that's not outside of the established rules of GLB, and you won. Congrats. But stop trying to cover it up like it wasn't an exploit.

You won, you got a cool trophy...but you won't be getting a "job well done" from the rest of this league because you didn't REALLY put any effort into beating Kiev.

OT win for Mugs on 93 running plays to the right. No further comment necessary.

I know its frustrating but it is GLB at its finest. I honestly thought you would overcome it. Anyhow GL next season your team is in great position for AA and I think you will compete season 1 up there. Well if AA is still "AA" with all the reshuffling.

Roger

What's allowed and what's ethical are two different things. I'd rather lose doing it the right way than win by taking advantage of an exploit. How do you get any sense of accomplishment from that? I just don't get it.

Im not on the Mugs idiot...my team lost to them in the semi's

coming from someone with a pink panther avatar? I might have been wrong by asuming that your response was to me, even though you quoted me, but I really wanted to be immature and call you an idiot. I was just letting you know I feel no accomplishment cause I was not a part of that great gameplanning and didnt want to recieve any of the credit for it. Which is what seemed you were trying to do.

+1!

I could've easily stopped the Islam exploit if I thought you lads were too cowardly to use it. I guess it just shows that we at Kiev are nieve to think that we play in a league of extrordinary gentlemen!

At the same time, if Bighoppa had gone down the route of pounding the ball Islam style, we would've dicked on you guys and you would be the ones complaining etc etc.

Thanks to all of you in EE A7 who have made this season pleasant!

It's OK, guys. Thanks for all the support.

I'm really proud of my team, and what was more important to me this season was that we got home field revenues all through the playoffs. This allowed us to get our 200 level completely built for next season, finally catching up to the other top tier teams and giving us some breathing room on equipment costs.

Next season should be a lot of fun, and I hope the reshuffle keeps most of us together so we can continue some of these rivalries.

I knew you weren't with the Mugs. I checked your profile before posting. I was responding to you saying (paraphrasing) "It's GLB. It is what it is". I wasn't railing on you thinking you were with the Mugs.

Wow.... complaining about something we did. If it is such a "cowardly" strategy, why didnt you look at all of our other games, where all we did was run? Anybody couldve stopped us. So why didnt you?

I am going to have to agree with this guys..... I know it sucks that they beat you guys like that, but it's not like they just sprung this up for the Championship game. They did it to us in the regular season and they did it to us in the playoffs. We didn't have a problem with it and neither did anyone else until this game. Why is that??

I don't care what they ran all season if they ran I Slam and Strong I Slam for a whole game they should be stripped of all titles. Man up and play the game right. You aren't playing Madden against the computer. Other people are involved so use some integrity. Pounding the crap out of a known exploit in the game is classless. Our team won the championship while throwing exactly 3 passes. http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=472863 There is nothing wrong with running the ball the whole game. Some offenses are built that way. But in order to pound that one play over and over again you have to specifically gameplan to capitalize on the exploit. That is not right.

That being said I wasn't here last season and neither team will be here next season so I don't really care. But running the strong I slam is just dishonorable. Period.

They didn't actually do this against you guys in the regular season. While there is no doubt they're a run-first team, often going extremely run-heavy for many games during the regular season, they ran out of nearly every formation in the playbook(Weak-I, Pro Set, Singleback, etc).

Right up until the Strong-I Slam and I-Slam exploit became widely publicized early in the playoffs. At that point, they ran Slam plays, exclusively out of the I and Strong I formations against the Bulls and Kiev. You won't find one Singleback or Pro Set run in either of their last two games.

The season's over, none of this really matters anymore, but you should probably know that the Mugs obviously didn't feel like they could beat you a second time without using an exploit.

I'm not the team that lost to the exploit. When Bort implements the "repeat play penalty" next season, I'm sure Kiev will gladly wax you in a scrimmage.
