I'll remember this

Seeing how I'm in AA3 and I have a team in AA4; there isn't much difference in this conference and there, except less gutted teams. Almost every game is a playoff game, but then again you can always be like the Blaze and run Strong I the whole game and win

Financially, I have to agree with titanicwin. I want to home game.

As far as matchup, I'd like to meet the Assault. Just wish I was going to be around to gameplan (vacation fell at a horrible time).

Damn that sucks for the Assault with the punt at the end. Tough break, I guess the AI is missing the setting.

Ouch, thud of a game from the Tighas.

Hats off to Tennessee on a masterful gameplan.

I went with some as yet untested things to try and stop your two headed inside/outside rushing game and it blew up in my face as you guessed we would load up against the run. You shredded us through the air with pretty simple ease. Good job on your gameplanners part.

Quick pass attack failed us as well. Defense is stupid good. 9 sacks and an INT when we threw mostly screens? wow.

Best of luck in the finals vs. Corpus Christi.

Truly, I'm sorry to see you guys fall as you did (was that a bug or an oversight?). My heart preferred you to win. My head told me to root for CCIA for financial reasons. I hope we'll play each other next season, and congrats on a truly dominating season all year long.

To the Tigers, GG guys! You put together an incredible postseason when nobody (including myself) thought you had much of a chance to do better than a quick exit in the playoffs. You are worthy opponents and we hope you succeed well on the next level of play. As always, you were a classy bunch.

To CCIA - sorry to meet you in two days (I'm not really looking forward to game planning for your team - its much easier when we can see apparent holes!). We have a much better team than our last scrimmage (which we did game plan). I know this will be the toughest game of our season and very well could be our first loss. We're happy to have made it this far, and may the best team win.

Thanks Tennessee - I know we'll both take it seriously.

This was a big win for our franchise. Mentone Beach denied us a perfect season and 2 home playoff games when they topped us in the regular season in a game that came down to our final drive and could have gone either way. We dropped a wide open pass on 4th down that would have put us inside their 5 yard line with about a minute left down by 6.

In return, we have no denied Mentone Beach their perfect season, plus a home playoff game, plus at least 1 trophy. There were a lot of big plays in the game for both teams, and there was THE DRIVE, where Cowboy Hero led us down the field in the two minute drill to score a TD and put us ahead by 2, including a huge 30+ yard bomb to Jimmy Tea on 4th and 10, but it came down to a lack of preparation on Mentone Beach's part as they punted on 4th and 3.5 I think with less than a minute to go. You can't blame the sim when you do that.

Tennessee has stated during the season that they think they should be ranked #2 ahead of Corpus Christi at #3 in combined League rankings. Most weeks I've ranked us about even, tied at #2, with us having a slight edge. Now it's time to see if Tennessee is right, and therefore this game really is the League Championship and they will probably win, or if I was right, in which case it will probably be a battle just like we just played with Mentone Beach, or else a third possibility, if the top teams in the West are way ahead of the top team in the East, in which case the game against Mentone Beach was the real League Championship and this is just a requirement to pick up the hardware. I think it will either be a fierce battle or else Tennessee will prove to have been right all along with a big win, but I can't deny what a big game the Mentone Beach win is, so have to mention the 3rd possibility as well.

I know Mentone Beach will be back twice as tough in AA next season. Congratulations to both them and Tennessee on fine seasons and on moving up.

GREAT GAME CCIA!!!! I guess it was a horrible way to find two holes in your AI when it mattered the most, but I guess when it doesn't happen in the regular season; you can't prepare for it. I enjoyed the game and the match up, but I have to go for The Fury now

Mentone sets the bar pretty high, and to a man, they're hard to dislike. Classy bunch really.

I'm proud to be 2-1 against them. That's quite an accomplishment in itself.

As far as who gets promoted, I think we'll see these teams making the leap (at minimum):

West
CCIA
Mentone
Long Beach Dub All-Stars (same record as Virginia, reached same point in playoffs, won H2H game)

East
Fury
Tighas
Phoenix Scorpions

I'm kinda hopin' Scorps don't move and get a chance to dominate.

Nice game CCIA. I know this game plan we put into place was good for only one game. If we met again, I expect it would be tough. Glad to see that our feeling of getting dissed in the interleague power rankings was validated and we could avenge the beatdown you guys gave us (which was an uglier loss for us than this one is for you) a couple seasons ago. You guys have a great team and really add something to whatever league you are in.

And yes, we hope you remain in the West so we won't have to face you guys every season.

We'll do our best to represent A6 in AA3 next season. Thank you all for a classic season that was a whole lot of fun.

Edit: Special thanks to our GMs, LIGHTNINGBOLTinc and especially Blln4lyf. Since everything went our way in the sim for the most part, I think we would have won this one anyway, but it sure would have been a nail biter.

Play of the game from what I saw (only had time to breeze through the 1st half so far):
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=473090&pbp_id=19814026

We had some insanely good additions this season, but William Wallace (DT) had to be the one that made the most impact.
