And when and if we do ever matchup, you better man up and convince your GM to put you on me, and play alot of man.

look at that...now which Brisbane team is on top of their conference?
Yet with one more loss.
uhuh that just shows us how weak Alpha is and how strong Zeta is
... what? It doesn't show that at all. It could just as easily mean that Alpha simply has a fiercer competition at the top of the rankings. Without any interconference games having been playd, there's no way to really know.
sure there is. you have 2 teams that have lost only once and we have 5 teams from 1-5 within one game in the standings
so wat you are saying is like saying the eastern conference in the NBA has "fiercer" competition at the top and the rest are good too? which conference in your opinion was better in the NBA this season?
What I'm saying is that we really won't have any idea one way or the other until week 16. It could be that we have fiercer competition at the top, or it could be that you have better overall depth, or it could even mean both. After the next games, though, we'll at least have some idea, although even then we still won't really know (I.E.- say we beat the Crimson Auha- that won't prove anything in terms of conference strength).
To counter your example with a slightly more relevant one: Does the fact that the Patriots went 16-0 mean that the AFC was weaker than the NFC, or just that the Patriots were phenomenally good? By my estimation, there was one elite team (Dallas) and one excellent team (Green Bay) in the NFC last year, with the Giants hitting a hot streak at the perfect time. In the AFC, you had 3 elite teams (Patriots, Colts, Chargers), and at least two excellent teams (Jaguars, Steelers). Here in Oceania, it could go either way.
BTW, you say you have 5 teams within a game of first like it's a huge deal, even though we have four teams within a game. Pretty trivial difference. Especially when every one of the elite teams has beaten at least one and lost to at least one other:
Burning Pride: Beat Strike and Bandits, lost to Bearcats Bearcats: Beat Burning Pride, lost to Strike and Bandits Bandits: Beat Strike and Bearcats, lost to Burning Pride Strike: Beat Bearcats, lost to Bandits and Burning Pride
going back to the original argument, the Bandits having a better record doesn't mean they are better. They arent even the best in their conference (at the moment) and we are
I ain't gonna go and try to guarantee a win or anything, but I will try to sneak one from the Bandits to help out my Zeta brethren.
IMO, both conferences have at least 5 superior teams talent-wise. There are also several in each conference that have good tacticians that are not among the top teams. I love seeing how the 2 matched up against each other works out. Of course, when you get teams with good talent AND great tactical planning; that is when you get the truly great teams.
Truth of the matter is as far as this Brisbane rivalry is concerned, neither really has bragging rights until either they match up head to head, or unless one of them wins another championship. Having the head to head in the championship game would be ideal, but I will have to try and do my part to make sure that doesn't happen... since I obviously want to be the one in the championship game.
