In the end it doesn't matter much I guess. If you guys want to lay down for us to avoid promotion, we'll gladly take the wins, cash and the challenge of being promoted and having to compete again.

Cheers!

Right now we are slated to play Madrid in the first round of the playoffs. I like this match up better then the others because we are the only team (aside from the obvious) to score more then 10 pts against them. Battle of the Bulls part 2

Naples had their CBs playing WR. Actually they had everything but WRs playing WR. At first glance that wouldn't seem to be such a big deal, but other than taking away receiving threats it also meant the Madrid WRs spent all day running straight past cbs.

Naples won't ever throw a game on purpose. If there was a mistake, it was just that, a mistake.

The thing is we wont know who would've won had you guys played straight up. It would have been a battle for sure.

i can assure you that it was not done on purpose and if it all plays out hopefully we will get our shot to make amends. if you guys think we tainted on a game to avoid promotion well then you guys don't know me. i'm in in to win it and i want the opportunity to advance not stay here and have 2-3 good games a year.

Those are exactly my feelings on the matter. This season has not been as fun as I had hoped. Winning is fun with better gameplanning and close games. Not when it's against 10+ teams in the middle of rebuilding.

It's been fun for us (Whitechapel) for about half our games, but I feel as though we're a little bit behind the top 4 so those games were (or will be, in the case of Madrid) heavily scouted and allowed me to do things before them. Then there's a bit of a drop off to the next 3 teams, but I definitely scouted them out as well. But the other 8, our threads in our team forum has pretty much been "do whatever you guys want with settings, no use in planning" etc etc. If we're here next season, which is pretty likely to happen due to the strength of the top 4, it's going to be boring. If we move up, we're likely to get killed because we're pretty much keeping the same together, but at least it would pose a challenge and make it fun for the entire season. Well, as fun as losing can be.

The only downside to being promoted is what do you do? Do you keep your team of players together and accept a beatdown all season long? Or do you let them go and start spending on high levels to stay competitive? I love my agents and want to keep this team together. So if we do get promoted, I guess we'll be taking our lumps for a season or 2. But I'm up for that challenge.

Now I wish I could find a person who has an entire O-Line hitting the market this offseason as I'll be losing mine sadly.

We'd definitely stick together. We have a good group of agents, and a lot of us have been here from the start as a spin off from another team, the 2nd such team that we have that's spun off from the original team we all came into with in season 2. We've brought in good agents from outside of our circle as well, but we'll all take our lumps and build better for the future. It actually wouldn't be fair to let go of our other agents as my guys on the team are all level 27s, pretty close to the lowest levels we have on the team, and I'm not cutting me...heh. And you actually learn a lot more getting your ass kicked as far as tactics go. When you're just whooping up on teams it's likely you're not changing much so you're not really growing as a OC/DC/STC, etc.

We will be keeping the majority of our team as well (I hope ), but each season we always bring in new guys, especially from the agents we already have, and love having, on our team. When we didn't get promoted this past season we lost out on about 10-12 level 40ish players, but each one was already a part of either Starkvegas or the other team we folded. I enjoy keeping the guys that enjoy staying with me. It makes it that more fun to learn how to win together.

same for us -- we have a couple of moves to make but we will keep most of our team together regardless of what happens. i hope we get promoted because i don't think next season would be that fun and i don't mean that as disrespect but like i said earlier i would rather play good, close games and lose than win 10-12 games 50+ points per game

Stirling had that issue 2 seasons ago. When we were last in BBB#4, we finished 5th, pulled a playoff upset in round 1, and were promoted to A#2. We kept most everyone together and that season was a struggle and we finished 2-14. We were relegated back down to BBB#4 and we're going to go 14-2 this season. If we hadn't been relegated, we'd probably be like 5-11 or so in A#2. If we're fortunate enough to be promoted after this season, I think we can be a mid-pack team in A#2 next season. I'd rather do that than be a dominant 16-0 team in BBB#4 if the 2 teams we lost to get promoted. Gameplanning and scouting isn't all that fun when you win every game by 3 digits.
