I know we have a power back, wasnt slighting anyone... if you cant beat em... join em, and we run our powerback too.
That said, I would rather games come down to gameplanning and overall talent, instead of which powerback breaks the most tackles at the opportune times.... this game PM did so they won
Like I said, RNG rolls, they won the game. Sorry but thats exactly what it came down to. We 100% gameplanned to stop your powerback, and the AI still made it impossible. GG Bort, as I said.

Why don't we do a scrimmage and take the power back out of the game plan and run the same game that we had.

After all if you had overall talent you would be able to stop a power back running all over you
BS! Not to start something with you, but the powerback BS is out of control!
I will say this though Gameface, you guys used a powerback when we played. Like I said, not to start anything but everyone uses it, so why not?
I got past the "That's not right", to the "I'll phuck them up with their own medicine". It sucks, and it should be fixed, but who knows, Bort's cronies will be in his ear since they all have built powerbacks. I would take Chris Johnson over LenDale White and day of the week, or Marcus Allen over Christian Okoye (though I love the Nigerian Nitemare!), it is a proven fact that Powerbacks are too slow in real life to be everydown backs, or breakaway threats.
I think Bort is trying to prove a point that he's been trying to make since season one with well rounded players. Power Backs yes are a serious problem but so is every other position's "cookie cutter" builds.
What Bort is trying to do IMO is give GLB players as much diversity a possible. Powerbacks, elusivebacks, receiving backs, blocking backs all have a use on teams.
Speed WRs, possession WRs, jumping WRs, all have a use in GLB
Ball hawking CBs, Shutdown CBs, KR/PRs, blitzing CBs....and so on for each position.
I think the idea is to allow agents to craft specific types of players and owners to gather the types of builds that give them the type of team they want. Bort wants and the game needs diversity, the sim doesn't have that magic balance yet, but it is getting there.

as I said in 2 diff posts, Im aware I use a PB... what choice do you have in todays metagame?
That doesnt mean I have to like it, and it still comes down to who's PB gets the better RNG rolls all game to break the tackles. Thatsnot skill, thats luck, and it allows teams who have lost alot of games magically beat teams that havent. WHen I see 0-11 teams beating 11-0 teams by random luck and a power back, then there IS a problem

Even if you don't use a power back, some luck is still involved. Just like passing the ball it is RnG. Take a look at the college basketball tournaments. There are some Cinderella teams that upset #1 seeds just about every year. So upsets in sports happen. If it came down to who had the highest level player and they won every time what fun would that be?
