Thanks for the support, all--especially Flame and Reneg2, whom I've had my forum differences with in the past.

I just spent a ton of time preparing for that game and really thought it could be competitive, and it turned out to be anything but that. The first quarter was looking alright, and then Kobenhavn's whopping 77 team chemistry dominated our 100 chemistry and the rest, as they say, is history. I actually thought it would have been the other way around--I thought we would have to weather the storm early on and shore up their running game and make our move in the 2nd half. I have watched every play of every game they've played this season, and they seemed to be a way better 1st half team to me on film. Up until now I really thought team chemistry meant something in this game, now I'm convinced it just exists on your team's home page to make it look pretty.
As for being outleveled, I totally expected that coming into this league, but remained optimmistic about our chances and retained faith in all of my players' builds. In fact, I only realisticaly expect a team to be able to recruit 5-7 players each off-season, so w/ Kobenhavn's 1 season jumpstart on us in promotion, I really only expect they'd have 5-7 more higher-level players than us (haven't checked the roster, just guessing). I certainly don't blame the margin of defeat on their outleveling us, that's for sure. Then again, I don't know what the sim is doing during these games, either, or how it takes into account broken tackles, forced fumbles, etc. during the vision checks and dice rolls.
In short, the Argonauts will still be playing hard this season, but I won't be dedicating nearly as much time to the gameplanning aspect of it any longer. Will it make a difference when you watch the film? I certainly hope so...otherwise wtf have I been doing these last few weeks!!??
