Also EQ has a 100x more mature community.

I played the original EQ for almost 7 years...none of the other games seemed to have the same appeal.

Oh, interesting. I don't have time for any of them so I never pay attention.

Between work/school and GLB...my time is busy. I go to school online which is why I am on here so often. I do stuff in here while doing assignments or reading lecture notes.

My girlfriend would always say stuff to me about it, but I just ignored her. Then I really needed 25 Flex to boost up my custom EQ, so I made her make a character.

I thought she was gonna play for like 3 days and quit, but now she is loving it.

This is part of the reason I have considered leaving WoW behind when Warhammer Online comes out

I am a bit out of touch with the MMORPG world since quitting WOW a over 8 months ago, what are the previews/reviews like of Warhammer Online? I just hope the people are not going to be as anal, especially when you get to the end game stage. I have a life outside of WOW, I don't want to have to raid at LEAST 3 times a week!

Warhammer sounds like it's going to be really solid. But with any MMORPG, if you're going to play end game, you're gonna have to raid a lot more then 3 times a week. I mean, there's always going to be people that are somehow able to raid 7 days a week. MMORPG's are serious business(lol).

Edit: I don't know from experience, but from what I've heard, if you want a casual MMO, pick up Guild Wars.

I loved online gaming, was an EQ fanatic for about 8 years, but none of the major MMORPG's are really made for new parents. My Daughter brought about my retirement there. Is whats nice about GLB. Can drop everything on a seconds notice, and no harm done to anyone.

I've been able to find a happy medium between staying married and raiding twice a week - we run end-game content, we just aren't on the cutting edge. It takes us a little longer since we don't have the reps ... I imagine as we decide to have kids, my MMORPG days will no longer be

As far as Warhammer Online - I haven't read many previews, but the ones I have read are mostly positive; also, DAoC was the first MMORPG that I played and I loved it, so I have a measure of faith in Mythic games
