Again, impressive win over them. Head to Head is the biggest variable component, but it's not the only one. That win they have over #2 East Boston and your loss to Dallas are still holding you behind them.

Still a whole lotta season left though. . .

I have a feeling Boston is going to mess up the power rankings quite a bit this season. Based on what we saw last season, they have the ability to beat teams they shouldn't be able to hang with (Memphis River Rats last year to a great degree, and us to a lesser degree), and have the ability to hand over games they have no business of losing. I can see them knocking us off in a few weeks, only to lose to the Aces or Birds down the road (no offense to those teams).

Just a heads up that week 1 i screwed up on my offense gameplan. Nothing against VGW but i`ve fixed the problem soon after. And keep saying i shouldn't of beaten the River Rats or you. We had better talent or equal to both you guys last year. I`m fine with the underdog.

GG, Houston.

Very hard offense to plan for. Were you expecting to hit that 88 yard FG?

GG Cheetahs. We can't seem to close out those good defensive games with W's. Good luck the rest of the way.

I had our defensive AI slightly off too in week 1, I think since then we have proven to be more consistent and better. You guys have a great team but I completely disagree that we have "no business" beating the Fury.

haha i think that's a little flaw in our game plan. we just installed some new things and that was probably overlooked. good game though...we tried to keep it close.

Last season, you had 5 losses, four of which were to teams that I considered worse than ourselves and the River Rats (in the regular season that is - we're terrible in the postseason). You didn't find it surprising to knock off the River Rats AND Fury? Wow. Last season, you also had a roster with a bit less depth than either team. You've made some fine improvements this season, and as a result it would shock me if you didn't end up in the top 3 spots (could even be #1), were it not for the tendency to play up to the good teams and play down with the less talented teams.

In GLB, its very rare when you have a team with as odd W/L record as you guys boast. Normally a team that loses against 7th-10th ranked teams has no business hanging (much less destroying) the top teams in the league. In fact, I've never seen that happen so consistently as what we saw last season.

I hope you guys don't take it as a slight. I guess if I were to simply phrase what I think of your team, I'd simply say "We're going to have to make some major adjustments and have a nice sim to beat these guys."

Not many interesting games in the West this week from appearances, but can't not mention the breaking news of the former Detroit Revolvers becoming the Saginaw Supernovas and Iowa going CPU (if anybody is interested, your rival Tighas have some openings. . . )

WEST
GOTW: #1 Mentone and #8 Dallas (W MENTONE)

Also in the West in top 8 action, we have:
#2 CCIA and Washington (CCIA)
#3 Mighty and Steel City (MIGHTY)
#4 Bakersfield and Idaho (BAKERSFIELD)
#5 Beantown and Long Beach (LONG BEACH)
#6 Big Bear and Saginaw (SAGINAW)
#7 Virginia and Eugene (VIRGINIA)

Also:
LA Cobras and Pittsburgh (LA COBRAS)

EAST
GOTW: #2 Boston and #6 Texas (W BOSTON)
GOTW 2: #3 Sleepy Hollow and #8 Phoenix (PHOENIX)
GOTW 3: #4 Dirty and #7 Louisiana State (DIRTY)

Also in ranked action:
#1 Tennessee and Houston (TENNESSEE)
#5 St. Paul and NJ Mobsters (ST. PAUL)

And:
Philadelphia and Iowa (IOWA)
Atlantic City and LA Bicycle Clowns (LA BICYCLE CLOWNS)
NJ Hitmen and Enghave (ENGHAVE)

Impressive W's by the new and improved Saginaw squad and Long Beach in the West and Phoenix in the East, as well as Mentone, Boston and Dirty taking care of business as usual over similarly top 8 ranked opponents.

Last year, we had some issues with the OC as well as barmours first season as DC where he was learning to face some of the top guys in the league. We didn`t lose a single game by less than 7 points except for against Phoenix and New Jersey and both times having a different OC. I would not say you were better than New Jersey or CCIA, plus we actually lost depth at WR,OT and OG. We do not have more players at any position.

No offense to the rest of the league, but i will be disappointed if we have more than 2 losses this season.
