Yeah, this spreadsheet is super accurate after 4 or 5 games. Early on the strength of schedule really hurts these rankings. My first experience with them I was thinking the same thing. After about game 8 it even have scores on the money.

I just think it's a fun way to get forum interaction without the need to flame the original poster. So far, so good. I'm updating them for week 2 now.
