That's good, but how often does he pin the ball on the goal line? I know our P Kyle Malone has done that a few times...

to bad for all those true shutdown CBs out there who literally close down their side of the field, stats will never show that. cough cough hint cough..... lol

kinda like the P Kyle Malone, you gotta watch replays to appreciate him.

its weird how that works. when you have 2 of them for some reason one guy gets all the stats. sort of like what you do for TEE BONE.

Yup.

Shows with your Tillman and Vasher, as well as with my CB and the other guy on my team Rush Hour - he doesn't get the stats but he always has his man locked

Exactly. Grinnell leads the league in fewest plays on defense, but Dotar Sojat (FS) is third in the league with 5 interceptions.

gotta love my 14 tackles, 11 PD, 1 Int and 1 FF as a starter then! ok enough tooting of my own horn here, sorry..... i pretty much hate myself for that now. :-p lol

but seriously, i saw this on another forum and thought it was a really good idea...

"At the end of the season, I think we should ask all of the team owners to submit a list of 5 players from their team to be put on the official ballot as MVP candidates. After the list has been assembled, we hold a vote - each team gets one ballot and makes their selections for the top 3 offensive and defensive players, and you can't vote for guys on your own team. Tally the votes and there we go - Offensive and Defensive MVPs."

i dunno who would want to be in charge of that (i know i wouldnt), just figured i'd throw it out there in case anyone liked the idea. as for the list of 5 players from a coach, i think its a bit to much, maybe 3 players from each team.. or even 2 offensive and 2 defensive players. and instead of a team getting 1 vote, just throw it out there to anyone who wants to vote, you just cant vote for someone on your team.

I'll admit that I (Sticky Ricky) don't shutdown guys for some odd reason.... however, my PD stats are off the charts. I have to give props to our two other corners from Samoa, Marcus Minx and Jubs McCornerback..... they don't have the stats that I have, but they do shutdown the guys they are covering.

I'd put our trio up against any in the league (of course, I may have a slanted point of view....lol)

Samoa has only allowed 5 passing touchdowns on the year, 3* of which came against Las Vegas. I wouldn't trade our 3 corners for anything in the world, except if it would get my cornerback more snaps. Then I would trade all of them for 5 cents on the dollar.

*I don't know if pitches are considering rushing or passing touchdowns on the stats, so if they aren't, then only 1 passing touchdown came against the Super Bears.

Easy fella. Wollongong might have something to say about that. We have allowed 1 passing touchdown all year. Flavor Flav leads the league in INT with 7. We have two others, Hendrix and Art, who are in the top 15.

Flavor Flav has to be the defensive POTY. 7 INT's, 3 FFumb, 27 pass deflections and leads the team with 72 tackles. INSANE. Wollongong's secondary is pretty sick...

those stats would be good, for a line backer. but im stickinh to my guns here, as a CB i really dont think you want to have a mass amount of tackles, it means you are getting passed on to many times. Would you say Asante Samuel was a good corner? i would hope yes, he had 44 tackles all last year.

The D-Line race has tightened. I have to give my vote for Patterson from the Inmates as he is on a roll as a sacking machine.

Of course he is a player of my team's owner, so I am biased.

That might be a valid point if the defense were getting destroyed. We however are giving up the 3rd fewest yards and still only have 1 passing touchdown. Flav is just a playmaker. He plays the edge very well vs the run and dominates in the passing game.
