says a lot about the effect of playing gutted teams actually.

I think Orlando did pretty well in it's 3 games against Zeta opponents, IMO

no offense intended, but I was the owner of the Cannibals which was number 3 offense on that list. Our PPG was much higher because of the competition - we scored 160+ twice last season.

None taken.

You still had a solid offense averaging 33.50 points per game when I took the two games out of the equation in which you hung 100+ on an opponent. That would have kept you in the Top 15 in the league at least.

You'd have to throw those 2 games out on all the Alpha teams though - just about everyone had the same results against them (scored far higher than usual in those 2 games). It brings the 2 leagues back in line when that happens.

edit: other than WSI that is. They are still way above everyone else (and only had 1 game that was truly against an overmatched team, the Dreadnoks hadn't gutted yet when they played).

Just out of sheer curiosity, is it possible for you to figure out what each team averaged if you took out the games where they scored the most points?

Like, hack off the top 2 games for both teams, Alpha and Zeta.

Not just the offense though, it skews the defensive statistics by a huge margin.

I think you have separate out the two leagues and leave it at that.

Idk?

We were 17.87 originally, but when I eliminated the two games against the cup cakes, our total points allowed average went down to 17.78 per game.

you still dividing by 16, or are you knocking it down to 14? Considering they scored 7 and 3 points against you, it is not mathematically possible for your average to be lower, since both were under your average.

By my math, you allowed 276 points in 14 non-cupcake games, for an average of 19.71 points per game. Still a damned solid number, imo.

i think you need to take the stats vs the top 10 from each division, maybe 12.

That actually sounds like a good idea.
