Awesome.

I'm surprised at some of the Portland picks. But it's awesome to see that one of my hand made boys is the starting Guard.

I am surprised by so many of our guys as well Must have done something in a game or 2 vs a team that made them take notice.

Huge McFatty didn't have the most pancakes but he did last season at the C pos, and he was the leader on the O line of the best rushing attack in EEA4 this season.

This point was strongly emphasized in the league championship.

Vilnius had - by far - the most dominant offensive line in the league. Secretville's defense is scary good - especially their DE's - yet Vilnius allowed only one hurry, 2 tackles for loss (on 59 carries), and had 15 pancake blocks.

Seems like there should have been more pro bowlers from that O-line. But...then again...I'm biased

That's because our offensive line wasn't built to be pancake whores - they are "real" linemen

The Raptors did not get a lot of big stats to help separate them from other truly deserving Pro Bowlers and they had to overcome early season chemistry issues due to a wheeling and dealing owner.

Elvis, Phil, Addison, Trufant, and Boom got well deserved recognition.

I want to personally recognize the O-Line because they opened the way for the ground game - it is tough to recognize one over the other since they work and function as a tight unit ... I often hear them in the locker room saying we, us instead of I or me.

Cylon was a very important beginning of the season free agent signing since he had the speed to go outside and power thru the middle versus very good defenses. We learned how to utilize his talents from the middle of the season on and he was not a focal point when we had easier games. He was a team player and helped Elvis achieve impressive passing stats thru his catches out of the backfield (Rec: 74 receptions, 1160 yards, 23 TDs; Rush: 1630 yards, 7.4 yd/carry, 43 TDs)

Supafly had to be gameplanned for just in case he was a focal point for the offense, but his true strength was leading the way for Cylon, Homer, and Rollin.

For defense, Tickle Buster greatly strengthen our defense with solid run stopping along with 6 INT, 4 returned for TDs. Cockedan Loaded caused some headaches for opposing defenses with his 19 hurries and 7 sacks from the LB position.

Honestly, it is difficult to gauge Pro Bowl players because they often sacrifice personal stats for team success. I congratulate the players mentioned above and all of the deserving Pro Bowl players selected.

Vilinus didn't even have the best and "most dominant" O-line in the conference, let alone league. Although they did have a great line and a great offense.

I don't think that the intent was to change the selections. I think we should learn from this - the fact that some teams assembled more voter participation than others - and come up with a more impartial selection process...perhaps a per-team limit on voters.

I was in a league in which only the owners, one OC, and one DC could vote, and you couldn't vote for anyone on your own team. The selections were very fair using that method.

So...because we have a good chunk of people on our team that participate, we should get hammered?

The same damn thing happens in the other sports. You telling me that the Yankees/Red Sox/Mets that start or make the All-Star game every year REALLY deserve it?

Only two of our guys made it that really didn't have the stats that some others did.

I guess it just means the Niners are the Boston Red Sox of this league.

?!?!?

I'm not hammering anyone! I'm not even tracking who did or didn't deserve to get in, or which team(s) were questionable. **SHEESH**

I'm just saying that, based on the negative posts in this thread, we may need to consider a different selection method next season. If the same number of people from each team vote, and they can't vote for their own players, there shouldn't be any arguing when the selections are announced. It's completely fair and impartial.

I was being a bit sarcastic.

BUT, if my team is gonna be the Red Sox, I want to be Kevin Youkalis. That dude is awesome.

Although I really want the Red Sox to all die in a horrible accident.
