Well quite the contrary VJ - according to Bort:

By Bort

I just uploaded the current version of the defensive play creator that I am testing out for later use, so everyone can check it out and see what's up, make suggestions, etc. Keep in mind that it is currently not active for games, and it is subject to later updates, so don't get too attached to any plays you happen to create because they may be wiped out later.

Secondly, I wanted to make everyone aware of the following update for next season:

We will be treating veteran XP kinda similarly to fame next season in regards to signing outside the suggested levels for the league you play in. If you sign as an FA or get traded at too high of a level, you'll receive reduced VXP, up to and including zero points if you're way over. No effect on normal XP, though. This is to encourage veteran players to find their way to more level appropriate leagues during the FA process, and perhaps help bolster some of the floundering upper tier teams who need help with some higher level talent.

So, keep an eye on those suggested levels on the "Leagues" page.

Meaning

Players on a team outside the "suggested" levels will not receive any VA points, thus closing the gap between builds. A team like Yellowknife, or Hogwarts that are just about at the level of the top tier teams could overcome that difference easily with the boost of VA's while a higher level team that isn't promoted will be at a pretty big disadvantage.

ps
We made close to $6 million in the playoffs because of home field advantage, I'm pretty happy with that. 2nd tier of the stadium will be finished and last section of 1st plus a bunch left over for seats and equipment. Not to shabby.

Just been thinking about staying here and the rewards it may bring....

If we stay in A:
1) our stadium will be be @ 75% complete (aprox.). at seasons start with full seating
2) we should do good yet again
3) we should make it to the playoffs and gain home field advantage, home field brought us @ $6 million in the playoffs this season, money needed badly
4) our guys will get some of their lvl 40 equipment paid for in season 8
5) the season after next, season 9, we should be in AA and we'll be LOADED with money, mid to high 40 builds, a complete stadium and full equipment for everyone. None of our lvl 40 guys had their equipment so this may give us time and the money to buy it.

6.) it will be easier to stay down in A., where the competition is easier. when in doubt, lower the bar.
7.) wont have to play the Pitbulls.

translation:

it will be much easier to be successful in a league we can have an incredibly lopsided advantage over the rest of the teams. If You cant be a front runner, why play? right Rick?

Just think of the money you'd have made in the Conference Championship game. That would have been a THIRD home playoff game.

Oh, well. Finding silver linings is probably a lot less depressing than realizing you lost to a team that is 6 levels lower than you at every position.
