First off, you ignorant s.o.b...all u had to do is wiki "steel city" to realize that pittsburgh is not the mecca of "steel citys"... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steel_City ... im from Hamilton, ON, Canada, which is listed on that wiki site... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Hamilton,_Ontario here u go, maybe u can learn something about a large canadian city....secondly, im a football buff, so dont talk to me like im an idiot...you wanna talk about rich football history??? check out the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamilton_Tiger-Cats .....enlighten urself u moron because the U.S.ofA. is not the only place where football is played (in fact, on this "american football site" are we not in a league called western europe?? then why assume im american?)
and its not like we made steel once and its a rarely used nickname...hamilton is commonly reffered to as Steel City, as well as other less common names such as the Hammer...the following are just a few websites you will stumble upon if you google search "Steel City"...all of them being Hamilton based.

so im almost positive i never "misidentified" myself as being from anywhere, its just your ignorance shining through (i even have a CFL logo as an avatar, and if you even watch enough NFL you would catch that when boomer throws to his CFL highlights always...even watching a bit of CFL wouldn't hurt you, after all, each team consists of a half roster of american players)...your lack of maturity is exemplified in your childish rebuttal...but well on the note of children, i hope to god yours are not born as ignorant and pig-headed as you are, and at least have more intellegence than a common ape (which may be difficult considering half of their genes will be coming from your sorry ass).
sure, i'll defend my GLB team in a forum, and it'll be all fun and games...but you wanna insult my birthplace and hometown by reffering to it as some wretched place???? thats when i go for the throat bellychunks.Heaven forbid that I would say, or even imply, from even the most paranoid standpoint, that anyone in the States or elsewhere would deride such a booming megalopolis as Hamilton, ON. It was my mistake, surely; having so little experience with the cities of the world, I felt sure Hamilton laid claim to the title "City of Lights," or "The City that Never Sleeps," or somesuch. But if Hamilton, ON, is what pops into most peoples' minds when they see "Steel City," why then, from the bottom of my heart, I do apologize.
And my humblest apologies to the world-renowned Tiger Cats, of course. In all of three-down, 12-man football, I am sure there is no finer franchise.
I am reminded of a contest McLean's Magazine ran some time ago, to come up with a national slogan for our neighbors to the North. "The Americans say 'As American as apple pie.' Fill in the blank: As Canadian as _______."
The winning entry was "As Canadian as possible under the circumstances."
So again, pardon my provincial outlook. It was mad to assume that a "Steel City", on an American football game site, may in fact refer to Pittsburgh -- not a contender for the coveted Grey Cup, but making the best of the annual NFL equivalent, viewed by somewhere in the neighborhood of one billion persons worldwide.
By the way, do let me know when a Canadian football game is available along the lines of GLB. The interest in the product would no doubt be staggering.
So, please don't confuse me for any of these people:
