We are classy because we choose not to run up the score further and make people feel like shit. Bring it. We will see. There are teams easily that good in our league. We still beat them.

Another team has gone CPU last night, the Athens Minotaurs.

It's a real pity that this happens, because Athens was another team I liked a lot. They were doing a heck of job trying to build something and I have them on the playoff candidates list for Season 8.

These two losses will have some serious consequences on WE-A#5 next year as both teams are out of relegation positions, that means that 4 new teams will come into the league, and despite the good experience with Vatican this year I doubt there will be the exact level of competition

I know this game is hard, sometimes cruel because it takes quite a bit until you get everything rolling... It took 4 seasons until my team was able to put more W than L on the boards and 5 seasons until we got to the playoffs. We even got relegated back in season 3 from AA level but we decided to stick with the team and our players and it has payed off and now we are enjoying the game. Is that difficult to do the same?

I don't think it is that difficult. I can personally take the losses and be a good sport about it, but I really hate to let the team down with repeated losing. And GLB is pretty merciless to the losers like you note. My squad has played teams this year with a >15 level difference starters-to-starters a few times, and >10 level difference a few more (like this morning). And of course we have been spanked. People can say it is not about the levels, but given statistical averages, these level differences are insurmountable. I certainly do not think I am God's gift to defensive strategy, but my players typically end up in the right places only to get run over by blockers and skill guys who make them look midget-league. C'est la vie.

This is not to blame the winners, great team-builders, and guys like yourself who already paid their dues. I credit them. I merely note that the team-oriented approach is a tough sell in an instant gratification game. It is still my personal preference to stick with it, and we should finish 7-9 (after being annihilated by Baton Rouge on Saturday!), so it is not like we were a gun-to-gun shambles or anything. And we got to eat our share of cupcakes too, so certainly worse things happen to better people.
