I've actually been hearing that more and more lately. The difficulty of recruiting due to people having either unreachable standards or just plain being jerks about the process. Have you guys been seeing it get worse the last couple seasons or has this been par for the course since the game started?

Its been this way since season1 but only lately has the market grown so bare that you can spend hours recruiting every day and not sign anyone. It just took us since the beginning of this season to find the players SSP needed, and we looked around considerably.
My main team is in USA AA3 after winning A6 last season and there are more cupcakes in AA than A6. The teams who have won A6 have all gone on to win AA3 because its actually easier. Thats stupid.

I don't actively recruit but I'm on the players needing teams boards all the times just seeing what kind of builds/players are out there. It's also becoming impossible for players under the level of 25 or so to even get a bite from teams. I know there are new teams in the A leagues, but they don't really build slow anymore, a lot of the Level 9/10/11 players can't get picked up at all.

davy quick question, and a serious one too. this is a home game for you guys, are we playing in your locker? cuz if so im gonna wear another couple layers + a chastity belt cuz im kinda freaked out about it. I see no city/state/town name, just the locker...unless we are playing inside a pirate and thats even more gross.

I got the team half way through season 3 as aowner who gutted the team of all 15 of his players . I let a lot of players go through trades or release . I was able to keep alot of players on and am very lucky due to being affiliated with a fan website . 1/2 my team is from said website . As it is I have seen it rather hard to garner any players at all I have had 3 true FA's come over in 3 seasons . Most of what i have gotten are sale players or players on team bringing players over to prop us up in certain positions.

When i am going through the marketplace i basicly have to cross off any player who is asking 10,000 / day because i cant afford it . Not many teams can have a 16 million dollar payroll. I dont mind paying 100k 200 k bonuses but i hate the arogence of people with L 35 players demanding 400k / season , It makes it hard for me to build my stadium and compete fiancialy to garner those FA's .

Whats worse is when me or my gm send a well writen Pm out detailing what we are looking for and basic peramiters of a contract and to have it sit in the inbox unread while the player signs w another team.

If your not one of the following your screwed getting players in

Top 4 in conference
In the Pro leagues
In USA

It frustrates a lot of people and thats why teams get sold back.

A serious question about where we are playing a fictional game? Yeah, serious.

too many teams, but money talks. borts cashing in, and getting paid double as people fill their teams with whole rosters of their own guys, and then boost them all too.

If Agents came down to earth, Owners wouldn't feel the need to fill the roster with their own players.

I don't care who's boosting or how much Bort's making. I'm having fun playing the game and I'll keep paying to do so. I don't even mind the hard recruiting or hard time finding a team. Eventually it'll work out. I have a bigger problem with people not being able to accept a lesser role on a team, that's what really bugs me.

If I were you I would go to a hospital, pulling the stick out of your ass by yourself is probably a dangerous thing to try and do.

Even with my teams past success. I have problems recruiting at times.
But i have been very lucky that almost all of my players once they join choose to remain a part of our team. Even in lesser roles sometimes.

I send out about 25 PM's per position needed in the off season to try and fill my roster. Some players do not respond and some do. When i have free agent players of my own. I never even post them as free agents because i dont want the constant PM's coming in. lol

I just go look for a team and send them a PM telling them to hire me. lol

Which is why SSP played almost this whole season with 3 CBs, 1FS, 4 LBs and 2 decent WRs. My GM has been riding me about it though so we have been filling some holes. It is certainly the worst part about playing GLB.

Check this out from one of the teams I GM. We're 10-2 in 3rd place. Agent has 2 players on the team. He's the 2nd string Guard and LB. He asks for his outright release. Of course with paying for his EQ, the Owner isn't going to do that, so he trades him to a 11-1 1st place team, where his Guard is now the starter, his LB hadn't found a team that wanted him, and we get this message.....

funny that trading my player when I asked for them to be released.now you either release my other player or the builds of all the players on this team will be sent to all the teams in this league and the next incase you get promoted.
