Sad thing is we should have beat them giving them loss #3. We made a very big AI mistake and did not go for a FG on 4th down with like 2 minutes left. We were on like the 23 yard line.

It wasn't the going for it that cost you, it was the fact that you threw the ball on 4th down, in a game you were getting 4.8 yds per carry.

1:54 4th & 0.5 OPP 23 Jim Bob Cooter pass to Mr. Woodchuck up the right side (incomplete) (turnover on downs)

Great game to watch, thanks for the advice.

You should have kicked the field goal, the win wasn't a sure thing at that point though. In the end you did lose and it's on your GMs. Essen has lost at least one game this season that was my fault, but it is what it is.

The Wolves lost again, thats hilarious. Just goes to show you rating bars and player levels mean nothing!

Actually no levels do mean something but rating bars dont

With that statement you just indicated the Wolves should go 16-0 but they have already lost 2 games. Even at the beginning of the season you PROCLAIMED you would dominate this league which you SHOULD have seeing as you are a 7 year team and most of us are 2 year teams but ALREADY TWO teams that have been around for less than 2 years have already beat you...maybe more? We'll see.

Just admit that the Wolves were horribly run.

We are not a 7 year team really

yes we started 7 seasons ago, but we are only in a second season re-building process that ends in Season 10.

.......But with seven seasons worth of stadium.......(albeit a weak seven season stadium)

Thats our only advantage...............the team is nearly 2 seasons old since the start of the re-build, so apart from Finances, we are not much different to BBB teams coming up this season.

Most of the BBB teams have a good bit of their rosters from last year still in place so you're talking about a bunch of players in the 26-28 level range. You've got a slew of players on your team that are 35+, that's a pretty big difference.

Maybe you didn't start assembling your current players until 2 seasons ago, but you didn't have the same level limitations up front that the BBB teams did. That being said, many of the BBB teams could have brought in a bunch of higher level players this season and overhauled their rosters. Most of them did not and to their credit, most are competitive within this league regardless.

Yeah, I took a long look at bringing in my 40s LB, WR, and CB, but in the end just brought in my QB (who I was going to retire) to use the Mentor VA.

Wolves get no love from me. They're an odd duck in this league with a roster filled with players that are over the suggested limit. Probably should have been placed in WE A1, but really there should just be more level limits in place. If VAs hadn't been instituted it wouldn't be a big deal because most older players are built worse than newer ones, but add VAs and there is a definite disparity even among mediocre builds.

I can only speak for the Horsemen, but we have a great group of agents and were not about to gut our roster to bring in a bunch of level 35 mercenaries. We're going to take our lumps and build with the great guys we have now.

This is our philosophy as well for the most part. The core of our team returned last season and I expect they'll return next season as well. Breaking up a group of people that work well together is foolishness, whatever the reason might be.
