I didnt put it up actually but thanks. I would be willing to bet if odt took the time to do the other spread sheet thats out there that has power rankings the Palookas wouldnt be #1 either, probably would be SoA.

First, thanks to anyone who takes the time to do spreadsheets or rankings in the forum. I am in other forums where it is a pissing match all the time with no one stepping up to do this type of stuff and this is certainly a lot more fun to look at under most circumstances. Bottom line is don't beat the shit out of someone trying to do something to help the forum out, especially if they are running one of those spread sheets. They did not invent the damm thing, but are taking the time to do all the work to give the rest of us something to talk about.

I did a bit of work for Lion and a few things are rather striking. While my findings are not as nearly thorough as the spread sheet (which takes into consideration points, etc), they are indicative of the strength of schedule played. The numbers given are the combined record of the teams played.

Freetown: 48-33 (3-1 record against the other 4 top teams)
Sierra 46-35 (2-1 with a game against WoA to go)
Red Sea 38-43 (1-2 and finish with BoB)
WoA 31-50 (2-1 with a game against Sierra yet)
BoB 30-51 (1-2 and finish with Red Sea)

Now for a projection. There won't be a 3 way tie at the top. I don't see Freetown losing again and Sierra plays WoA, so that will break the 3 way 1 lost tie. Thing is for Freetown, they better hope that WoA wins that game because they lose the tie break with Siera and Serra also has a very easy schedule left. If WoA wins, Freetown has the tie break with them. Either way, Freetown should not finish worse than second.

The only thing that matters is the playoffs to us and i have made that extremely clear in our forums. I just hope we finish stronger than season 5, but SoA and the other Cairo will not be easy at all. I would rather play anyone in Lion over those two again.

Thanks for the support, but I don't really care if some people aren't happy with my rankings (I did "invent" the algorithm by the way). If someone other than Vikes4Life would have said something I would have let it slide. I'd love to have the time to rework it, but I just don't right now, so I'm using what I have. It has done a pretty good job of predicting the playoff games in the past though.

If I knew that posting this would have made so many people hate Vikes4Life I would have posted this a long time ago. And thinking Tavaris is a good QB isn't as bad as thinking Gus Frerotte is a good game manager.
