I dont know if I agree, this is Happy Hour's track record. If my memory serves me correct, then they did the exact thing in S7 after they lost to FFAE. They went into the playoffs got rolled, owner went awol, and everyone on the team left. Financially that team cant afford to do that too many more times.

That was a unique situation. Fruitbat had a work crisis and he uncharacteristically went away from GLB for a bit so lots of the guys split. It worked out well because the team was unexpectedly advanced to AA and this allowed Me & Fruitbat to bring in our own higher-level players so it worked out well at the time.

yeah alot of lucky stuff happened but luck will run out, I just hope HH is planning on doing it again. Thats a shitty thing to do to the few agents you have on your team that may not be aware of the circumstances and just think the leadership is vacant.

Having been a member of the season 5 inaugural Happy Hour team I can say that Fruit didn't go awol until after the playoff game and the agents left due to lack of funds, we were all signed long term but after 3 days of no pay were allowed to get out of our contracts. In all fairness real life comes before loldots, unfortunately all to often. I may not like all owners (taha) but I respect the hell out of all you crazy bastards for trying, ownership in GLB has changed so dramatically since I started in season 2... it is ridiculous in both time and effort anymore. Good luck to HH in trying to take a mulligan and start over... awfully tough to slow build anymore. Although I do like the names you have for all your new players! Fits very well.

agreed. RW stuff pops up all the time, its pretty easy to keep your team and agents up to speed on whats going on. from my understanding most were completely unaware the first time around

What are you referring to as a "shitty thing to do....? S5 or what is happening now?

No doubt, I fell of the grid at the end of S5. I was traveling, it was 100% beyond my control, and it is the only time that has happened while I have played GLB. I'm sure some people were disappointed but those same people will say that up to that point I was a fair owner, covered equipment costs, etc.

This year, I think we are doing a great thing for our agents. Everyone will be released over the course of the next 5 days and will have a jump on free agency against the day 40 people.

I guess I just dont get why you want to give up on the season, to each his own though and just know that I wish you the best of luck getting HH's shit together!

There is a never a good time to do something like this. We just felt it would be better for all players/agents to do it now rather than the off-season.

Yeah....it does me great to sit on the gutted team not on the depth chart and get no XP for todays game.....yippee....

I understand its your team and all and you want to start over but is it really necessary to screw players out of game XP until you can release them? Also what is the point of banning everyone from the team forum? I thought I was a pretty good agent and was having a good year helping this team win some games.....never complained about anything. I did ask about equipment money once and never really got an answer but I figured what the hell when the team has the money they will get it to me so I didnt think anything of it. Then I log in this morning to find out I have been banned from the team forum and my guy removed from the depth chart.

yeh costing guys game xp is basically the worst thing you can do in this game, as players have a basic fixed lifetime.

I feel I've failed as a coordinator/owner if a player comes short of getting their 20 plays.... least a decent person could do is play people while waiting for trades... costing guys probably a level or more of xp if they don't get moved quickly.... that is horrible and idiotic.

I'm sorry for those guys getting screwed and wish you guys luck. Maybe PMing an Admin might help remove you quicker or just force the team to go CPU to allow guys to move quicker...

I would have released everyone 3 days ago if I could.

I can only release 2 human players a day.

I did tell people that If they wanted to be traded (trades are unlimited) to PM me and I would send them a new contract which allows trades and I would trade them ASAP so that they could get XP right away somewhere. This was the only solution available to me to get people out the door quickly. Instead of asking for a new contract, my kicker posts here. That is his choice. I will trade him today if that is his choice or he will be released in the next 2 to 3 days. I am releasing people as fast as GLB allows me.

the other option would have been holding off creating the lev 1 guys, and playing the guys that have been loyal to you.

I'm not directly involved... just giving my 2c
