I dont know if I agree, this is Happy Hour's track record. If my memory serves me correct, then they did the exact thing in S7 after they lost to FFAE. They went into the playoffs got rolled, owner went awol, and everyone on the team left. Financially that team cant afford to do that too many more times.
That was a unique situation. Fruitbat had a work crisis and he uncharacteristically went away from GLB for a bit so lots of the guys split. It worked out well because the team was unexpectedly advanced to AA and this allowed Me & Fruitbat to bring in our own higher-level players so it worked out well at the time.
