i normally don't get involved in these threads, but your whining is REALLY starting to annoy me.
quite frankly, i think you're lucky to be number 2, and when the season ends, i think you'll be VERY lucky to still be at number 2, and, i think you'll have to have a few lucky breaks go your way to get a home playoff game.
you have played ONE opponent with a .500 record currently, and you have yet to face any of the top 7 teams. that's a lucky break in scheduling for you, and that's how it goes some times.
but really, stop bitching about how you should be ranked number one, when you really haven't played anyone of merit. after you've played Roswell, Anchorage, Chicago, and heck, Grand Haven for that matter, come back and see me...right around week 16...
Branch, Fig, Tree whatever your name is. For not getting involved you sure talk a lot of shit. But it's okay. Trust me, you guys can have your rankings, I'll take the victories. I will take (6-0) any day. We may have had a "soft" schedule, but we beat those teams handily. Not one single game was even close.
You all can have your rankings. Enjoy them while they last. Because at the end of the day, the only stat that matters is the "W" and so far we are tied for the most. That may change it may not. I doubt it.
I have no doubt in my mind we will beat RGB when we play, by how much is the question! there's no shit talking here. it's just looking at your record vs. who you've played.
and you're right, at the end of the day, the only stat that matters is the "W", and so far, you are, indeed, tied for the most.
that's whole point - "so far" and "at the end of the day".
right now, aka, "so far", your win total matters a whole lot less than it does 10 games from now, aka "the end of the day."
ask the new york jets how important their 8-3 start to the season was when it came playoff time.
