I would like to say that I do these for entertainment first and honest commentary second.

I do not have the time to do significant research into every game except for Drift game planning. On the contrary I really just work off of what I can find out in about 5 mins.

The initial season rankings are a small piece of what I did for the Drift to start the season. After that its really just been box scores.

That being said, I do believe the insight to be valid. If I call out a D for giving up 8 yards a attempt or completion its because I think giving up 8+ per play is reason to call a D out. Same thing for the FMMP troubles. In that one they gave up more than 5 passing and rushing. 70 yard FG attempts or not.

I have been as equally vicious about the Drift as well. That is worth noting.

I do not intentionally call out a team or its management unless I think its warranted. Like the Fish or the Demos. In those cases I think that the ownership or management is misguided and the entire conference and league would benefit from some 'extra' motivation from those teams leadership structures.

Please owners, agents and management of all the West teams, understand that I do not have a bit of malicious intent with these posts. I really just try to be honest and be a touch humorous. I use ranking numbers in this post to try to give credit where its due. I would hate to have to put one team at 6 and another at 9 without noting that I believe that they are separated by a small margin. Assigning ratings to each team I am able to signify teams in ranges not just a numerical hierarchy.

So please, please take these with the grain of salt they deserve. The hardest part of doing this is the possibility of hurting someones feelings, anyone that has attempted this sort of thing will tell you that.

I will add a postscript. I have a lot of personal affection for razor and FMMP. They are one of the Drift's favorite rivals and one of the best run teams in the league. I have been rough on Pollo too and I have a ton of personal affection for them as well and a tremendous amount of respect for the leadership there.

I really wouldn't worry to much about that, I think most of us know how much real scouting can take. I'd be suprised if any of us actually thought you were doing full reports on every game, I'd quit scouting long before I spent that much time every 2 days. Anyone who gets their feelings hurt (looking at a certain GM of my own team here as well) should take a chill pill and realize that disagreeing is fine, pointing frustration your way is not.

These forums would be a whole lot more dull if we started pissing off the rankings people! Keep it light guys.

It's all good here Crockrh...we know you mean no harm and I wouldn't expect you to review every freaking game to see why the other team lost....

Keep them coming, PLEASE!!! Even if we lose every game from here on out, I'd like to read your stuff here...

And no offense Razor...but I too at the beginning of this season and the end of last season saw my kicker trying kicks he shouldn't have or should have....but it's one option right at the top that says "Max FG Distance"...so it's really easy to fix that.

I would also have to agree that if you were having to kick 70 Yard FG's..then you were stopped at 4th down with a lot of field to go...so you would have punted anyway...so you gave up easy points, so did we with our 2 Key INT's...

Hence why we are only running a 1 QB system from this week on....no offense to Rich, he's a hell of a ball player, but just can't compete anymore here with the levels you guys are throwing at us..so we talked with him and let him go.

I'm personally glad I'm playing against you guys again....I really enjoyed our Season 5 with a lot of these teams and am super happy to be able to be back here playing with all you guys again....You standing up for yourself proves you care about your team just like a lot of us here do...

No harm no foul man, we'll play again sometime and you can whoop our ass all over the field...we would expect nothing less.

I take lots of pills. I don't know what they're called, but they work....yeah they work reeeeaaallly well. My QB takes the same pills, maybe that's why he hasn't been so good lately,

Yes, after reading everybody's posting, I know how easy it is to fix the FG distance. God only knows I figured it out a long time ago. But you have to trust the people running your team. And I did and really still trust those guys.

The first OC was my real life best friend and I had a hard time realizing he didn't really care. He was kind of asleep at the wheel and that's why the FG thing didn't get caught earlier.

The second was the owner of the first team that I ever GM'd for (and still do). He had a good offense, but he was the one who installed the FG mistake when he put in his AI mid season as a favor. Then I named him OC and asked him to fix it. When it didn't get fixed, I gave him another shot to fix it and it still got messed up. He said he checked the inputs and that for some reason, his fix didn't stay in place when the game sim'd.

Bottom line...

There are a lot of great teams in this league. It really is "Every other day" with upsets and close match ups. More than anything, I'm pissed that we can't get it together to be a part of the parity. There is no way in hell we should be 0-5, it's definitely my fault for letting it get there, and it's totally beyond me how we made the same damn mistake so many times.

And yes, I am pretty much venting, but I have to defend my team and it's honor.

I'm not trying to be a whining D-Bag, it's just really frustrating to be in charge when the same mistake keeps happening. If I had to guess, it would be something like George W. Bush's presidency.

I have my max field goal range set and every once in a while my kicker tries a 61 yarder. I'm not sure why or if it's a bug but I can't find it.

These rankings are fantastic. I really don't care where my team is ranked. Ultimately it is just someone's opinion, but I respect and appreciate it. It is also nice to read some funny stuff too. Thanks for doing them.

No big deal Razor. I would be just as upset, hell I was just as upset until we put the Maulers in their place

I have no doubt you will get it fixed and become a contender before the end of the season.
