Before the season, all the talk was that the Catsharks couldn't compete because our LB were too underleveled, our WR were too underleveled, our CB were too underleveled. Now we win three games in a row and everyone is saying it's all because of our one high-leveled player. The fact is, you guys put too much stock in player levels.
You know who hasn't complained? Our fellow teams from BBB 5 last year. That's because they saw us kick the $#!+ out of the conference with our guys who were oftentimes 3-4 levels below the rest of the league. We did it with great builds, active agents, and solid tactics. Did we add some high-leveled players this year to compete in an uncapped league? What else were we supposed to do?
Lastly, I'm not going to apologize for adding Michael B. In our inaugural season, I signed a level 4 FS to back up both S spots and play special teams (and he has done great at both). Because Scrap, his agent, liked the team and what we were doing, he asked if I wanted his HB when we moved to an uncapped league. Michael B's presence and role is a direct result of what we've been doing in Prince Rupert, not an exception to it. Recruit great agents and treat them right, and maybe their higher-level players will sign with you when they become FAs.
In conclusion, stop whining and beat us. Northern didn't complain about our HB when they beat the piss out of us week 1. Seriously, if you guys don't stop bitching and moaning I'm going to ask iMan to be even more obnoxious than he already is.
Best wishes,
Dave
