Interesting. The rich get richer as all of the undefeated teams win their 3rd games. Four of the six 3-0 teams face each other in Week 4 though, so the pecking order at the top will start to show more.

Swift's Predictions vs Actual Results

Devonport Devils vs Tasmania Dragons
Devonport predictable manhandled the Dragons. No real surprises here. Big game for the Devils' punt returner, Slo Motion, with 5 punts returned for TDs. If that's slow motion, I would hate to meet up with Fast Motion! Tasmania's QBs were on the ground a lot as the Devil's Ricky Boxe led the team onslaught of 10 sacks with 6 himself. But when the Dragon's QBs weren't on the ground, they were able to average a nice 8.6 yds/completion.
Prediction: Devonport by 88, 101-13.
Actual: Devonport by 77, 91-14.
Right - off by 11.

Sydney Sea Wasps vs Fiji Rage
No real surprise in the outcome, but Fiji did put up a good fight. Not too bad being able to get 7.3 yd average passing against Sydney. As expected, HB Jonathan Eivins rolled for 3 big TDs for Sydney. Fiji's WR, Chris Ball, had a great day with 7 receptions for 101 yards and a TD. But Sea Wasps' WR, Ed Rosenthal, was up to the challenge with 10 receptions for 93 yards and a TD of his own.
Prediction: Sea Wasps by 28, 31-3.
Actual: Sea Wasps by 20, 37-17.
Right - off by 8

Apia Evil vs DECATUR STALEYS
This was the slug fest that was expected. Jared Gonsalves, the Apia HB, had a huge day with 3 big TDs and a whooping 8.6 yd average per rush! Bernie Sidearm had it rough this game as he was picked twice by Apia. But when he wasn't being picked, he was able to complete 2 nice TDs. Receiver, Shaun Henderson, for DECATUR had a really big day with 11 Rec, 120.5yds, 1 TD.
Prediction: DECATUR by 4, 24-20.
Actual: Apia by 12, 36-24.
Wrong - off by 16

Perth Pirates vs Redcliffe Sharks
It's hard to pick a player for Perth, because they were just plain dominant, although they did fumble the ball twice. Perhaps the most dominant play was by linebacker Simon Ahbeesh who had 13 tackles, 6 for loss, 5 sacks and 2 hurries. For Redcliffe, the outstanding play was by punter Jake Hernandez, who not only managed to stay alive making 13 punts, but he was able to average 42.8 yds/punt!
Prediction: Perth by 81, 87-6.
Actual: Perth by 107, 114-7.
Right - off by 26

Rochester Iroquois vs Intergalactic Sub-Mariners
Intergalactic put up a big fight in this game, at their defense was tenacious - forcing Rochester into 4 FG attempts by kicker Paul Woodside, who made all 4 including 3 in the 40-49 yd range. Intergalactic WR Blaize Flash had a great day with 13 receptions! But Rochester was able to muscle through, generating 5 sacks on Intergalactic. Rochester WR Wes Lyons came up big with 9 receptions and 121.5 yds (can't forget the .5!) and HB Ouincy Wilson knocked in two TDs to help seal Rochester's victory.
Prediction: Rochester by 32, 38-6.
Actual: Rochester by 12, 32-20.
Right - off by 20

Samoa Savages vs Komodo Dragons
Samoa had two huge quarters in the 2nd and 3rd to jump out to a 28-6 lead before Komodo mounted a massive attack in the 4th to come close, but not quite make it. The secondary of both teams had big days as each team made 2 interceptions. The rushing attacks of both teams were well contained by the defenses except for one massive run by Samoa's Krank Vomitflesh who broke 4 tackles to score a 26 yd TD just before half. Both passing attacks were able to move the ball pretty well whenever it wasn't getting intercepted. Komodo's kicker missed a 57 yd FG in the 2nd which ultimately would have given them enough points for the win, but he was able to nail a 47.5 and 53 yarder in the game. Can't complain about that!
Prediction: Komodo by 10, 30-20.
Actual: Samoa by 2, 28-26.
Wrong - off by 12

An Album Cover vs Alaska Wild
Convincing win by An Album Cover. Their QB, Brady Jess, had a big day going 27 of 35 for 251 yds and 2 TDs. Alaska's LB, Bruising Head Hunter, had a big day trying to take down AAC all by himself with 11 tackles and 1 pass deflected. Unfortunately, the Wild's offense just couldn't generate any sustained attack to move the ball as AAC's defense wouldn't let them run or pass.
Prediction: An Album Cover by 7, 35-28.
Actual: An Album Cover by 24, 30-6.
Right - off by 17

Port Moresby Scallywags vs Waikiki Wrecks
Waikiki mustn't have liked my comments as they came out to prove they should still be considered a player in the playoff picture. The Wrecks TE, Charleston Law, had an impressive day with 5 receptions for 95 yds. Waikiki's SS, Strong McInterceptor, lived up to his name with a key interception returned for 48 yards and a TD. Both secondaries played big as there was a total of 5 interceptions in the game. Port Moresby's one bright spot on offense was the play of WR, Bob Catch, who managed 2 catches for 56.5 yards and a TD.
Prediction: Waikiki by 3, 23-20.
Actual: Waikiki by 28, 31-13.
Right - off by 25

Swift's Results: 6-2. Total off was 135 for an average of 16.9 pts/game. I'll do better next week!!!
