This is the interconference week, so should be able to say a lot about if Zeta really has balanced the league's power out, or if it will be another year of Alpha dominance.

Stockholm Lions at Cologne Ghosts
-Preview: I don't think the new and improved Lions have the firepower on defense to stop Cologne. Upsets are always possible though when Cologne is concerned.
-Prediction: Cologne 51-21

I can see the Lions are getting no respect. Thats ok. respect is earned not given. We are going to have to knock some heads around to get it.

As much as the OP seems to absolutely hate Cologne, this prediction was almost exact (51 - 17 final score).

You guys gave us a valiant effort. I think the 5 Wides you guys ran hurt you a bit, as we had several DE's and LB's boost before the game, and the pressure got to you. But some of your other plays were effective.

Yeah... I've been conscripted into doing a little prognosticating for EE BBB#2 this season.

Game 2 between Cologne Ghosts and Stockholm Dynamites should be an interesting match up.

Ghosts beat us in the season six finale 31-24.

Burlington Blue Devils at Chambersburg Trojans
-Preview: Evenly matched, should be a good game. Burlington isn't a known quantity at this point. Both played well enough to win their first scrims, Chambersburg however didn't. I'm flipping a coin and going with Burlington here.
-Prediction: Burlington 37-21 WRONG

Stockholm Lions at Cologne Ghosts
-Preview: I don't think the new and improved Lions have the firepower on defense to stop Cologne. Upsets are always possible though when Cologne is concerned.
-Prediction: Cologne 51-21 CORRECT

Atlanta 404 at Stockholm Dynamites
-Preview: Clearly the game of the week. Both championship contenders draw each other in week one, no time is wasted before this bloodbath. I think Stockholm has the better team, but Atlanta's chemistry might tip the scales toward their side.
-Prediction: Stockholm 27-24 CORRECT (but wasn't close at all)

Hamburg Vipers at Lyon Winemakers
-Preview: Blowout is the forecast.
-Prediction: Lyon 77-7 CORRECT

Birmingham Polipocs at Liverpool SEA Fusion
-Preview: another evenly matched game. I don't trust Birmingham until they show me they can win vs. decent teams. Neither scrimmage they have played was against a quality opponent.
-Prediction: Liverpool 34-17 WRONG

Helsinki Hitmen at Southhampton Shadows
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Helsinki 70-0 CORRECT

Glasgow Vultures at Denver Hounds
-Preview: Denver is going to try to work there way back into the league's elite with this one. The overall numbers are close but I think they will be misleading as to how the game will end up.
-Prediction: Denver 47-28 WRONG

Berlin Blitz at Athens Devils
-Preview: Another awesome matchup for week one, good slate of games overall. Both teams have potent offenses, and defensive questions. This should be a very entertaining, high scoring game.
-Prediction: Berlin 54-45 WRONG

Mannheim Spartans at Capeside Minutemen
-Preview: Two awful teams. Mannheim is less awful I think.
-Prediction: Mannheim 40-0 CORRECT

Gonadian Knights at Baden Bandits
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Baden 77-10 CORRECT

Reading Armed Centaurs at South Beach Sea Hawks
-Preview: Yet another closely matched game. I think its a tossup but South Beach has the stronger defense and higher chemistry.
-Prediction: South Beach 34-24 CORRECT

Norwich Nighthawks at Luxembourg Lightning Bolts
-Preview: Another tossup here, although I do think that Norwich has less holes.
-Prediction: Norwich 34-30 WRONG

Middlesbrough Mayhem at The Fantasy Helmet Project
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Middlesbrough 63-7 CORRECT

Milan Eagles at Barcelona Dare Devils
-Preview: Chemistry and overall talent swing Barcelona's way in this one.
-Prediction: Barcelona 45-24 CORRECT

Barcelona Panthers at Dusseldorf Noobs
-Preview: I think this one doesn't look like its going to be close at all. Barcelona's offensive line has serious issues that will keep its defense on the field early and often.
-Prediction: Dusseldorf 35-10 CORRECT

Sexintown Rubbers at Flat Packed Monkey
-Preview: Messina has a new name, and a lot of CPU players. Sexintown had better win this one or they really can never be taken seriously.
-Prediction: Sexintown 47-0 CORRECT

I wont be able to make picks for week 2 because I am still on vacation, but I'll hopefully do better in week 3

We've upgraded but looks like you guys have too. Could go either way, looks like you have the advantage on levels.

EAT IT PREDICTION MAN!

wow, I must say I am impressed with that defensive effort you guys made, looks like I might have some competition for 'best defense' this year >.>

Indeed I am just hoping my team makes up for their poor performance last season (8-8 yet ranking wise we were #3 or #4) I think our DC with a season under his belt with this team and me learning the ways of OC is helping...

and on an unrelated note GO RAVENS!
