I'm willing to say that Yellowknife should be #8/9 at best right now. We are not playing our best yet, be it the defensive game planning, or the offensive. Give us time, and we should be able to fix that, I hope.

there are a couple of other teams who would disagree strongly with these rankings

There is nothing to disagree with guys at all. His formula is pretty basic and shown. The rankings will be more accurate as the season goes on. The teams that had overly easy wins will be ranked higher than they should and teams that had to play tough teams and fight for the wins will be lower than the should. Give it 2-3 more games to balance out.

It's not a big deal. Even going 16-0 last season the Rat Ogres were still not rated the #1 team. That's what CD was talking about. The entire season last season the Rat Ogres were never respected by the formula.

My QB played them in the 2nd round last year. I know what the Rat Ogres can do

I strongly disagree with these ranking as well. Anything that puts us on top and as the "team to beat" only makes Tremor Rush angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Truth be told, the stock RPI formula that comes with the spreadsheet kept sticking weird teams at the top, so I adjusted the formula a couple of times during the season in an attempt to find a better metric. The Rat Ogres were a big reason for changing the formula.

It's also a preview of how the rankings will look -- after two games, there's not much to go on. I won't post an "official" version until after game 4.
