I'm fine with that. It really wont matter once playoff times starts. Thats when the 8 seeds can beat the 1s.

exactly...who really knows what teams look like come playoffs...teams boost and pick up players late and the next thing you know your playing the 8 seed who looks 9 times better than you and you are like WTF?

Yep who knows what can happen come play-off time.

I like the idea but I feel the rankings are MAJORLY flawed. Nothing against the grizzlies but they aren't even undefeated at this point. I would put them at 4-5. The two best teams in this league right now are the monkeys and pewnts so they should be 1-2 respectively. The wildcats and bengals are also very dangerous teams and I think they're ranking is fine. I know this ranking is based off of statistics but you can't just look at stats to make an objective opinion. Good idea though.

It is a start. Without puting any bias into my rankings I went with pure statistical rankings.

I may add a strength of schedule component next time which should adjust the rankings a bit.

According to these power rankings the Gulf Coast Sharks have beaten both the #1 and #3 ranked teams. I would say the Tigers and Taints are the top teams in the East until they are beaten.

They are statistical rankings...usually what Power rankings are.

Sharks don't get any credit for taking out top ranked teams?

top ranked teams according to somebody's power rankings. Not the top ranked teams. Sorry.

You can't have power rankings involving two different conferences when there is no cross conference games. That's like putting the NFL and high school in the same league, but different conferences and the NFL and high school teams play only each other. Then some high school teams, who win their games, will be ranked higher than some NFL teams, who lose their games.

In all fairness the conferences aren't THAT lopsided. I would compare the top western teams as the pats/colts while the eastern top teams as the Seahawks/Redskins. Not from high school to the NFL lol.

The Monkeys are pretty scary on paper but could be beat. It is their name that freaks the hell out of me and gives them a psycological edge. EVIL Monkeys. My god I have nightmares thinking about that.

Geaux Bayou Bengals!

I'd also like to make a recomendation to whoever the head of the league is. NO team with a losing record should have the name Bayou Bengals in their Title. That is an abomination. I think Baton Rouge should have to change their name to something else until they start winnning. Who can address this!

Geaux Tigah's
Geaux 2 Hell Ole Piss!!!

If they are statistical and yall are laying claim to top spots in power rankings, then you might want to include some type of strength of schedule. Otherwise, this just remains the joke that it is. Statistically speaking, of course. Not like the Sharks beat anybody nonstatistically.

Too funny.

The level of comp of our first four games versus our subsequent four is night and day. Hope your contrived rankings will reflect that in the future. I needed a random laugh today
