Taluien, I also thank you for the love you show us! We are ready for a 6-10 ish season. Even with our new players. I look forward to seeing how this pans out.
As for the vet abilities, I really think they will screw up the delicate balance that already exists and will over power players to the point that build mistakes and game planning matter less. Right now I think they are a terrible idea (I might change my mind at a later date).

i agree with you on the vet points. i think they have included it only to try and drag out careers as too many people are retiring guys early.
but i also agree they are pretty pointless. you spend ages trying to get some good advanced equipment, and its blown out of the water by some of the vet abilities.

im psyched to finally get this thing started.
looks like tomorrow, or monday will be day -4.
i want to see my new, complete, stadium
with the teams that have been promoted from A8, and the teams we have remaining....its gonna be a tough season for everyone.
as far as the vet abilities go.....i think they're gonna be a bit of help to those who use them correctly, but not game-changing by any means. the small percentages wont make a giant difference.

Oh come on Var, most of us are in that boat. only the great teams are the ones that have awesome forums and 100% of there teams buying into what there owner is saying. with all the players out there and so few agents thats the way its gonna be. just a part of the game bro.

You probably also know that the lucky teams have a core of agents that work together. I appreciate those that are responsive and on point but I inherited a team with agents that are inactive for weeks at a time. Quite a few have left but now I have the privilege of recruiting more.

its tough to build a successful team. it'll be even tougher for success now that you've been promoted.

believe me, recruiting is tough as hell for every team.....including mine. but everyone has the same uphill climb as far as recruiting goes. ive had about 300 rejections just in the past 3 or 4 days. and im only trying to recruit for about 4 open spots !!!

I'd rather just have 20 players of my own on the team to avoid all this. It's like pulling teeth. And Nip, those that reject your offers don't know that you guys are the shit.

We have 3 guys (inc myself) recruiting for us, to ensure we get as many offers/PM's out as possible. 80% ignore the offer, and of the 20%, 15% make a silly demand, but that leaves 5% who want to join

hey if those are your numbers, i would love it considering it used to be 100% would either ignore offers from cork city or reject them immediately. by comparison recruiting is easy for me now.......its like a carpet bombing mission, i hit the target occasionally. it works for the most part as long as we dont get strip mined again it'll be fine.......because going through that again would suck......

I hate having to compete for even mediocre players for their level. So many agents have no clue on how to build a strong player but want the red carpet rolled out for them and don't even contribute besides just being on the roster. I'm pretty jaded right now to the point that I'd even consider having CPU players on the teams even though I'd keep em off the depth chart. I'll play my guys into the ground, energy to 0!

I send out TONS of offers (Im the only recruiter on my team) and 99% ignore it, 0.5% say no thanks and 0.5% show some miniscle of an intrest.

All us owners should start up our own team and all fucking blow the GLB world apart with a forum thats busy and a team who show effort.
But i do have a few good agents and they keep me going. Plus my gm's. Else where would the fun be in the game. Much like having a team filled entirerly of your own players. That would put me right off the game.
