SPARTANS CRUSH WARRIORS IN FRANCHISE DEBUT
The WARRIORS were hammered in their official debut, getting waxed by the Spartans 79-35. The game looked pretty much over at the half, with the Spartans up 31-14 going into the locker room. WARSAW caught fire in the 3rd quarter however and made London work for their paychecks.
On just the second play off the half, FB Ironhead Hayyward broke one open up the middle and rumbled 64 yards for his second TD of the game. On the next possession, WARSAW QB GIA UNIT hit HB Jakob Samel over the middle and after Semel broke a tackle he was gone for a 73 yard TD pass. It was Semel's second TD of the game and it cut the Spartan lead to 44-35. The Spartans would however go on to score 5 TD's in a row to ensure the blowout.

WARRIORS WIN SHOOT OUT 70-63
The WARRIORS first win in franchise history will be long remembered not only because of its historical significance, but for the sheer excitement of the game itself. It will not be long forgotten in the minds of the ten thousand plus fans who attended the game at WARSAW WAR MEMORIAL.
The WARRIORS jumped out to an early 14-0 on two big Jakub Samel touchdown runs and extended the lead to 21-7 at the end of the first quarter when Samel rushed for another TD when he went up the middle from 36 yards out with less than a minute left.
Odessa, to their credit fought back and made the game interesting by picking up three TD's in the 2nd quarter and the WARRIORS lead 35-28 as the teams went into the locker room.
In the 3rd quarter, the WARRIORS stretched the lead to 14 on another Samel TD run and a 3 yard Ironhead Hayyward touchdown run and lead the Golden Horde 49-35 going into the last stanza.
A fast and furious 4th quarter saw the teams trade touchdowns seven times. Ironhead Hayyward rushed for another two touchdowns, including the game winner with 43 seconds left on the clock, and Jakub Samel added his 6th touchdown of the game as well.
Next up for the WARRIORS should be a tough tilt with the 1-1 Tonganoxie Shockers at
Tonganoxie.
