Winning the championship means more playoff games and more money for expansion and recruiting. Getting bumped up without going deep into the playoffs puts you at a disadvantage for sure. The teams that remained in BBB and won will have all that extra revenue now to compete in A7 next season.

the way those playoffs ended up working out I got 2 home playoff games. I lost the conference championship game and got bumped up here.

Also even though there are no CPU teams currently in AA4 there may be some ownership contracts expiring at the end of this season. Those teams may go CPU and go down. Also there may be similar teams in AAA2 that may go CPU on day 40.
