Of course we have knocked off the #1 seed (as a #8) two seasons running, but that was AAA.

If you get in, the rest of Zeta will be rooting for you to three-peat

Honestly, there's so much parity right now I think anyone in the top 10 in this league could beat anyone else with the right gameplan and scouting. The difference between BPN and Barossa or Fiji has more to do with gameplan and scouting in my view than talent level. I'm sure there are some gaps there too, but it's a few percent at most.

Come with the right gameplan to exploit what your opponent is doing and a #8 could easily beat the #1 in Zeta. I'm not so sure about that in Alpha, but in Zeta it's there for the taking.

Yeah that's pretty much it in Zeta. We weren't bad this year, we just couldn't figure out anything that worked on offense or on pass defense. Not much we could do about it, we'll just have to come out with something new next year.

Hay did anyone hear that Zeta was a meat grinder this season? I know I barely did like all 27 bazillion times.

The problem with BPN is they completely change their gameplan on a weekly basis. We seem to play a lot of teams 1-2 weeks after BPN so I've watched a lot of their film scouting other teams, and they must have run more different playbooks and changed their AI more than anyone in Zeta. And they're also great at finding weaknesses in other team's offenses and defenses.

There was a game early in the season BPN ran like 40 sweep/pitches and Denver missed like 10 tackles. I don't think they've ran that many sweeps in all the combined games since.

Thanks.

We do try to change it up a lot as to not be predictable. We did get a little carried away in the middle of the season experimenting in our scrimmages. Scrimmages are very important for GLB respect, but it was our only chance to learn and test things. In previous seasons, we would have at least 4 easy games on the schedule to test things out. Now we dont have that luxury with all the competition this season. I agree with you, the right gameplan could knock anyone off in OPL. The playoffs are going to be fun to watch.

Don't think we would have gotten too far this season anyway.

We've got about 10-15 new faces lined up for next season, so notice to OPL is served. We're going to be upgraded at a few positions (QB, o-line, d-line, WR) and we will be much deeper for season 7. Chemistry will be a factor in the early going, but I think we're going to be dangerous if we're in a position to make a run.

Actually, sucks for the Gods

If we had beat Fiji (not a guarantee, but a possibility if we hadn't had an AI error), the Gods would be in the 8th seed.

Actually Fiji beat us, so they'd have tie-breaker over us. Still the #9 spot.

If you flip the Fiji / MTD game, there are 4 teams tied at 8-8, if I'm not mistaken.

Gods are 2-1 and Fiji is 2-1 in those games. Gods scored more points, winning hte 2nd tiebreaker
