+1 to what The Buckmister said. The competition in Alpha is very tight, and frankly there could be a lot of surprises in the playoffs.

After just playing the Christchurch Nightmare, I'm absolutely amazed they have lost eight games and believe they would be dominating in Zeta. Not trying to take anything away from Osaka and the Minotaurs as they are elite teams, but Alpha is stacked.

Well this is an Alpha thread so blustering is allowed

But what were you smoking when you wrote that!

I will jump in with both feet and make a statement that if you paired Alpha/Zeta teams 1-10 against each other, Alpha would not be able to write this.

As a matter of fact, I would propose that after/during the playoffs, we have an Alpha/Zeta tourney from 1-10...regardless of when they went out in the playoffs.

End of season #1's pair up
End of season #2's pair up, etc.

Should be able to get it all done. If not all done, who cares...will be fun and provide for more smack talk. The only difference is teams won't be able to talk out their arses....the proof will be in the pudding so to speak!

So...bring on Christchurch and all the other Alpha "elite" teams to pound on Zeta!

You can ratchet it down a peg. I have yet to see anyone from the Nightmare call our team elite. We've overcome many obstacles, and like many other teams were the subjects of Bort's vision for realignment. We took our healthy doses of tough games from the Osaka Buckeyes, and enjoyed the rivalry. We, or I should more pointedly say I, was looking forward to our shot at a title in the conference we had been in.

I appreciate agents and GM's from other teams seeing the potential we have as a team, but rest assured we have plenty of humble pie on our shelves, and don't throw words like elite around casually.

Its all in good fun Kranok. You need to get in the spirt of it! Humble pie is not on the menu for this tournament....except when all the results are in...and then it will be a conference serving, not a team serving.

I think Gold Coast is a step up on everyone in the league personally. I hope that we make it to the conference championship to play them and then upset them, but it will be extremely tough.

Over hyped!!! Over rated!!! If it wasn't for the catches you made when you were lined up as a HB, you would have only had 2 catches for the game.

Now go away before I make a pair of Bear Skin Boots out of you!

What does that say about the 7 teams we've beaten this season? Should they all go back as well? I find it amusing that a lowly 7-7 team that should go back to BBB leagues gets this much attention. Say what you want but the season stats tell the story. That and the fact that you had Poley double and triple covered a majority of the game.

Good game and I'll be curious to see how Guam does next season.

Poley opened this can of worms, we just fed it to him. Did you not see the post about how Poley owns this league? And no we did not double and triple team him a majority of the game. It is called scouting and good defense. Maybe you guys should look into it.

I'm curios about the ending of this message. Your not curios as to how we do this season but next season? Do you foresee a huge drop-off or something? I'm just wondering why.

Poley opened the can of worms by running up 31 TD's in no time and running laps around every team except yours. We opened the season hoping for the best and realizing we were vastly out leveled in most cases. No one from the Islanders has whined about it, we've simply excepted it as fact and tried to make the best of it.

You were more then happy to gloat around when you beat Osaka in a scrimmage, so what's the matter with Sully being happy for his WR? Friendly shit talking is something even you yourself have said you have no problem with. No one took it personally except you and your team. You go out of your way to diminish our teams efforts and accomplishments then you do the same to every team we've beaten. I suppose half this league is better off going back to BBB leagues? Or perhaps better off learning to game plan perhaps?

My entire point was to hop off your high horse. It's internet dot football.

Oh, and yes I am interested to see how you fair against competition closer to your level.

Ahem.. See my post in Sully's other thread. My CB shut him down when you played RIP.

Besides all that, I know it's just in good fun. His WR has had a good season against largely higher level competition; I say brag if you want.
