I think it means he is doing his job SS are mainly cover guys thats FS SS clean up everyones mess. And his numbers dont lie hes doin his job

I disagree Darren Woodson, John lynch, Troy Palamalu, Roy Williams, Bob Sanders just to name a few all have high tackles FF and its because they play as Hard hitting run support safeties.

if your safety has alot of tackles its not because he sucks at coverage, its because your CB's Lb's suck at tackling!


SS play as lightweight Lbs that are super fast and create fear and Havoc in the secondary. Justin Blaze has done that and more.

How come every time you talk something stupid comes out your mouth? Is that a known disease? Is there a cure for it?

If a CB leads the league in tackles, that usually means he isn't covering well. SS are often used in run support, FS often in pass support. If the LB's aren't making tackles, or the CB's are letting guys run loose, then SS get tons of tackles if the SS is worth a shit. That simple. How often is a SS covering someone one on one? The TE once in awhile? Maybe a slot receiver if they don't get a nickel back on the field? That doesn't happen enough to discredit that guys season.

SS spends less time in pure pass coverage than anyone in the secondary. The guy is having a good season, even if it is because he's on a shitty team, it doesn't matter. Stop hating and let him have his day.

Total injustice so far that Mecca Carter hasn't even got one Pro-Bowl vote. I want you all to think of this. According to Bort, the code checks for how open a WR is, when making a checkdown list. It will generally be checking WR#1 first, with exceptions of course.

Think what it means, that Mecca Carter is hardly ever thrown to, and has given up very few catches for yards. Sure, he may not have the super flashy Int stat, but that's because QB's aren't even daring to throw in his direction.

Also, of his 3 Int's, he has returned 2 for TD's, which is tied 2nd overall for Int TD's in the conference. Not only that, but not a SINGLE missed tackle this year.

IMHO i think that pro bowl voting does come down to stats more then overall play. Mecca as everyone knows by now is a shut down CB and no one has had a good game against him but he still doesnt put up a big stat unless you count the pick sixes.

i disagree...... analdwelling buttmonkey is the highest in yards, tds, and pancakes for FB's and nobody has a single vote for him. ya i know its salty to bring up a char i own but if your gonna post something like that ill correct you.
