Not that Im trying to get involved in this argument, but I believe a bit differently.
I do own a team here, and they are a slow build team of sorts. More of a farm team as most of you know. See my team started with mostly level 1 players. Give or take a few. I remember though that when i put my name on the list for team ownership I had planned on building a team from scratch. I was hoping to get a new team in a level 13 capped league but that was not the case. Instead I received a screwed up, gutted team. Now after trading or releasing the players on that team I made enough money to build a bit on my stadium(as any smart owner should do). I had no reason to recruit any of the crap players on the free agent market because the guys on the team I gm for were building new ones. Yes I had the opportunity, I just didnt have the need. Also, we did not come here to ruin your league. We were given the teams in this league. So blame support for that not the team owners.
D leagues are fine for building players but there is the competition aspect. fighting for starting position and plays that we didnt want to or have to deal with. Now we have won a few games this season. Not because we have really tried but because our players were built better than the other teams. Still see no need to try to win until my players get a bit more balanced in their builds.
Lastly, I thought the forums were a place that ALL PARTICIPANTS in the league could get together, fellowship, and yes do some good 'ole shit talking. Didn't realize they were just for the winners. If thats the case I should have never posted in the first place. I apologize for wasting the forum space with my thoughts from my losing team. Not that I'm going to stop or anything.
Good luck to you in your championship race. Enjoy getting housed by the Legion if you make it that far. That is all.....for now.
