Yeah, I dunno, ours seemed fine. The percentage of pass/rush is pretty much what we wanted. Maybe this only affected pass heavy teams <shrug>

Do you set the auto-adjust or have it at 0?

That QB, btw, has strength, throwing, and vision all above 30. He's attempting a pass to the HB (Wolfgang Puck)

WTF?!

lol wtf....

Something is definitely screwed up. I saw a lot of otherones where the ball was thrown straight to a defender (although on those the reciever was at least within 5 yards of the ball....)

On our team, we had it set to rush more, but we ended up passing more, and terribly. Checked out our next opponent, one of the best teams in our conference, all 7s-11s on offence, and they completed 25% of their passes. So it seems this is a widespread thing.

Also, is it me or was our game simmed 30 min early? Anybody else see this?

I don't think the problem is in auto-adjust. I think it's in the QB passing algorithms - here's my thinking.

Because we had a larger number of just horrendous passes, pass heavy teams punted a lot more and it also shortened the game because of all the incompletions. Because of this, natural football logic dictates that we would attempt more passes. This problem was especially pronounced in games between two passing teams - but a team like scarlets that hardly ever throws, wouldn't be effected as much.

If the problem were in auto adjust on its own, we woulda seen lots of passes, but the percentages would have been much higher.

Actually, it seems most of us were set to heavy run.

I really think the problem was with the new advanced substitution settings, not with the normal offensive/defensive strategies.

Lets try this....how many people tried the new advanced substitution settings before their game, then found themselves throwing more than they should, with a TON of incompletions, and VERY TIRED players in the end?

My Level 16 QB averages 310 yards on 71.2% passing.

He went 26/64 for 144 yards. See a difference there?

Edit: Also I was averaging 3 punts a game before today, my punter had 17 in one game.

I tried the substitution settings for red zone offense and fourth down offense, and I edited the sub settings for my tight end and my recievers only (on offense). Our players are all below 70 except for like 5, and we had horrible QB passing.

Well, we had almost all of our offense on the advanced settings, so I'm not sure that's it.

Did he play the Waco Davidians defense? If not, yeah, there's a big difference.

It came to my attention that one of our highest stamina players (a CB) was in on offense during the game. I have a theory (likely wrong) that the reason there were so many more passes was that the stamina/energy changes took RBs out of the lineup, forcing offenses to pass. Does this make sense? Has anybody looked at the game to see if there were more shotgun/empty backfield sets than usual? It would be interesting to know if there were more called pass play or if the offense was forced into that situation because of depleted running backs stamina.

I don't even know what I'm saying anymore.

I experimented with the advanced energy settings as well, however didn't touch individual players. I just put starters in (red zone only, all quarters) and in on 4th quarter on fourth downs.

Interesting theory. You guys definitely had a lot of ST plays (45 total punts !?? We only had 16 combined in our game...). And ST plays kill people's energy, so it could definitely play a role on how you set the depth charts.

Hmm...another person said they did, but your's didn't.

Question: Did you set the advanced settings BEFORE your tactics for the game, or after?

If you did it after, did you hit "update" on your regular tactics again?

I changed the 2 minute and red zone substitutions on advanced after I had updated our overall tactics. And, when I returned to the overall, they were still showing as set, so I didn't hit update.

Everybody:

1) Did you use the advanced settings?
2) Did you use them before or after you updated your overall tactics?
3) Did you hit "update" on your overall tactics after changing the advanced substitution tactics?
