Even tho they are the only team that has challenged Richmond in a blast of a match, and have had a tough schedule, the fact remains that they are 4-4 after 8 weeks, and will have a tough time climbing back to the top. They have a quality team and its by no means possible. But it gotta start now, as another loss cant be tolerated.

sorry to be such a dissapointment to everyone this year. We've had alot of players go missing off the forum boards and not set tactics, which is huge. The last 3 games we haven't seen sight or sound of our OC and Owner. Their both finally back now from their busy school schedules, so we're hoping to spark our team back to life and get everyone active again. We should be much less of a dissapointment as we head into the playoffs.

holy cow. Don't get your pannies in a bundle. I set my tactics. I just don't know if they set theirs. The point is they weren't helping with equipment money and game planning and such. Simmer down

Lulz, thx for the positive feedback, I'm on the verge of blushing here Happy to contribute to upnorth's great input in these forums

And i dont mean to hate on anyone, wouldnt have highlighted Burundi and EEORG if i didnt think they had talent for much more than they have showed. Just trying to mimic a newspaper'ish style, and EEORG are the Cowboys of the league so far, so had to mention them

Have a great Thanksgiving all

Edit: Oho, teh Monkey is back Havent seen you around for a while m8, great stuff going on in Elephant, wicked playing so far. GL the rest of the season, i knew you would kick ass heh

Ive been BlackRobLikeWhoa for the past while.. finally got my name changed back to MonkeyMan Ya still last years title game sucks.. but we will try to make it up this year. Alot of our builds that were a few levels away are not pretty much complete so we should do alot better this year in critical games

Nice write up. Thanks for taking the time to do it.

As far as the A teams coming in, I do think you have to take a look at the start of the season and now as far as the AA teams that were here are concerned. Since the start of the season, we have lost several of those teams, including at least two that have usually given a good account of themselves in the past and would have been able to have had some potential success against the newer arrivals. EEORG has had all sorts of issues this season and I had them as one of the favorites to win it, based on last seasons performance, but that is not the way it worked out with all the roster changes they made. In other words, I think it would be more fair to say that at least elephant would be pretty dead at this point had it not been for the new blood coming in.

As far as being "afraid" about A teams that havn't boosted yet, my comment would be don't assume that everyone else that is not an A team has already fully boosted.

There is no question we have a tough road ahead with having to face the other Cairo and Richmond, and also Swaziland and EEORG on top of it, so school is out on who stands where. We lost our first game to a great RMoG squad, but also learned a lot about RMoG as well.

At any rate, it promises to be an exciting second half of the season. Goodluck to all.

Just comparing pre-season thoughts and the current standings/results. And even with the knowledge of loosing SL and Zanzibar, i doubt many/any would believe just how competitive the promoted teams would be. And the thought of an A team winning the league would have been shot down instantly, now its actually a possibility.

Just trying to impersonate the media, altho without the most idiotic comments heh

And yea, Richmond is more a Canada Pro team than an Africa A team, so they kinda fall out of the equation tbh, i know.

Anywho, just wanna make sure that no one gets it the wrong way, as i said its not like i dont think that EEORG has a great team or anything, but 4-4 is a huge disappointment no matter the reasons. At least i would hope it is

Thanks Minaras. Minaras is our spokesperson for the Port Harcourt Playmakers and I appreciate the tireless work he puts in on our team (OC) and on representing us in a very respectable manner on these boards. He exemplifies the type of class I expect from our squad. Just had to brag on him a little bit.
The last half of the season and the playoffs are going to be fun and exciting. Just hope we have an opportunity to make the playoffs and be competitive as there are a lot of super teams and owners in this league.

I still think that avatar is a squid... otherwise +1 to post. Minaras is a good guy.
