You can keep spinning it as "bunch of friends combining our players together" but really nobody believes that. You don't even believe that. You could've combined in the Pro league you were in it. The bottom line is you knew you couldn't compete there so you figured you'd drop down to AA.

We didn't gut the Pro team for that reason. Some of us have lives and can't babysit an entire Pro team or 2 for 7 seasons in a row. I'm sure you'd understand right since you have owned a Pro team or perhaps even GM'd one.

the buddhist went 16-0 in the inagural SEA A expansion in A#4, but got upset in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

granted there was a level cap and no players with any AAA or higher experience

hell, a former APL team came from USA AAA and had the best lineup ON PAPER of the whole league, went 1-1 in the scrimmages and then went 0-2 to start the season. owner sold the team, and caught hell for it (after they talked up a shitstorm). not all teams that are the "best" on paper should go 16-0, but its the way some ignorant people percieve it to be. instead of trying to gameplan to beat them or recruit better to beat them, they just whine about it, in which case they don't really solve the situation....except make themselves feel better about it.

The Heroes took an upset in the last game of season 5's regular season, and I couldn't care less. There isn't a special trophy for going 20-0. I'd rather get in at 8-8 and win a title than get in at 16-0 and lose in the playoffs.
