Slow build teams are stupid. They never will catch up to anyone, because everyone keeps getting better and better, and they fall farther behind.
with the new restructure of the teams, slow building may start to pay off.

no offense, but by the time they actually start to pay off...players will be on the decline and the team will have so many league levels to work their way up that they will never be a pro team...plus there is no way to reload a slow build team even if they got remotely close to the top

ADDING ON HERE NOT SURE WHY QUOTES REMOVED
While Tulsa is not a true slow-build team (we don't hoard all skill points for 4 seasons) we used a lot of the slow build methodologies and principles. We started as a team mid-way through season 4 all at level 1-4... I'd say where we are now is a good sign of what a slow-build team can do in less than 3 seasons as their builds would be even better than ours.

There not really a way to slow build anymore. I look at it as more of a race to the cap. On the Huskies we still boost them at the very end of the season. pointless to lose them. We basically work on our main attributes first to get them capped so that they can naturally progress higher than they would on a more balanced build. If done correctly by level 24-25 my players will be beating level 32-33 players. No, we may not catch everyone in the league, but we will be contenders. Btw, that should only take about 3-4 seasons. So the players being on the decline is not really the case.
Also, I believe we can all agree that game planning and builds win games, not just levels.
Lastly, My team has been built with one purpose and one purpose only. To feed players into backup positions on our major team. That being the case, we are not here to win, only to get max xp and build great players. Winning will come eventually anyway. Sorry to get on the soapbox, but those are my thoughts.
