As I've said in the past, I usually don't report, but his post was over the line. Any community, be it online or not has rules. It needs to be that way to prevent the vocal minority from abusing their "right" to do and say as they want.

The vast majority of people in this forum are tired of these stupid posts (as evidenced by the flood of PM's I have received). Seems to me we have the ultimate solution....2 forums. People who don't want what I consider to be inane conversation can join one. People who just want to bash on each other can join the other. People who want both, well join both.

The anonymity of the internet does not excuse behavior like the above post. Those posts are just meant to ruin other's enjoyment of the game. I've said it before and I'll say it again, not one of you would EVER talk like that to a person face to face. You act all tough here because you KNOW the worst that can happen is a temporary ban, not a trip to the hospital.

If Madcow said something like he said above in a bar, there would be a line out the door waiting to help him make that trip. A ban is nothing compared to that, but the best we can do (sad to say) to TRY and keep this community somewhat fun for those of us with an IQ higher than a rock.

See thats the point youre missing. Your attitude which you think appeals to people with a high IQ (which is bullshit anyway) is flawed. I can categorically state that unless one of you has a Nobel Prize that I am more brilliant than any of you can dream of. Its not an idle boast Im the sort of guy that had university deans taking him for lunch to get him to do their course. The thing is the internet is a place to blow off steam. If all I do all day is pages and pages of engineering and chemistry equations the last thing I want is to come on here and have "intellectual" discussion.

Also you fail to account for cultural differences. In Europe (especially France) vulgar talk is common no matter what the intellect level. When Im with my friends we might be designing a reactor or some other complex shit but every second word will be "fuck" and Ill likely accuse at least one friend of being a child molester. Its just a difference in outlook on life and frankly I feel sorry for you if youre so closed minded that you cant see that.

If you call what you guys are doing "trash Talking", you need to learn how to do it. Making personal attacks towards other people that you do not know is not trash talking. That's is being a prick, asshole, dick head, what ever you want to call it. That's the issue here, not the cursing.

Please show me some "trash talking" then. I really want to learn.

My response to that would be to grow some and stand up for yourself. If youre an adult you should be able to take the odd bit of abuse and if you take any of the stuff in here seriously you have REAL problems.

I understand cultural differences. But when you say RESPECT other's differences, what that generally implies is restraint. If I go to a lunch with someone from France, they should respect the fact that we don't talk like that and refrain from doing so, not the other way around.

I'm certainly not suggesting that we start a thread on chemistry equations, just maybe a few about football? That IS what I pay for. And the fact that there are stated rules, establishes what is considered over the line. Your previous post used a few "vulgar" words, which is fine. I don't have a halo, and god knows I swear just as much as the next guy, but let's be real here.

Ever since Club America got that ban, there has been a small group actively seeking to flaunt the rules and thumb their noses at the mods. Whether the original ban was wrong or not (frankly I didn't care enough to research it), the ensuing posts have been silly.

As soon as the "modless" forum was created, the only contribution certain people have had here is to flaunt the rules, basically trying to ruin the credibility of this board. Fine, those of us who want to have a board where that is not tolerated can do so. However, his response to that idea was just more of the same crap.

I felt someone needed to say something, and we all know it's pointless to try and talk with most of these guys, so I took it to the next level. I'll put this in plain language so everyone who needs vulgarity to make a point can understand - If your response to this is just going to be another inane post where you drop insults then fuck off. If someone else (like EmpYllek) wants to have an intelligent conversation, I'll be here all day.

They cant. If they bannings for permanents the worlds ending soon will happenings.

I have some, bigger than yours to so I have heard. I stand for what I believe in and always will. I believe that personal attacks are not called for, even on the internet.
