I could see the logic in MM being one until someone takes it from them. I also see an argument for the Nites to be given some consideration, they lost a tight title game last year and like MM have greatly improved. Tonga should be right there as well...now I know I'm leaving someone off that will probably end up beating us.
Just for the record, our vote of top 5 teams this week I believe was identical with whats up there EXCEPT the order. We of course wouldn't sandbag any team to move up.
I agree with everything written in this post.
except the part where you said The Nites improved. We didnt recruit anyone this offseason. We just brought on two low level 30 wrs...to fill depth since we only had 4. Other than that, we are the same team.
My order is this:
1. MM
2. WS
3. Nites
4. Tonga
5. Heat
6. Bomb Squad
7. MTD
8. Samoa
9. VKS
10.Brantford / Cook Island / G. Stompers / Gods
I know it is early still, but these are the teams I see ending close to this at the end of the season. Obviously there will be a lot of moving up and down as teams play each other, but when the dust settles, I see these teams all being in or very near the top 10 close to this order. Im like the lurker...just because a team like the Heat or VKS has an early season loss doesnt drop them too far in my book. They are yearly contenders. The Heat lost a battle to the Tits (which was a brutal opening game for both teams). The 10 spot is hard to figure out with all the new teams. I have Brantford down at 10 (even though they are off to a nice start), because ever since season 2-3...they just have not been able to knock off the big boys in their division...until they show they are back, that is just my ranking.
Thats how I see it shaking out by the end....but last year was a crazy season as well, so we will see. JMO...not meant to spark debate or controversy
