Every single one of those games are one of the two preseason games after season changes when we do notable testing. Nothing on the line, brand new changes by Bort released.
As in, compare our record outside of those games relative to those first two testing games of the season. We're probably under .250 for those games but likely over .750 for all others.
When it actually mattered, for a tournament and both teams not trying out experimental tactics to try to find exploits in GLB, you were stomped. Badly.

Beyond this, we repeatedly beat your Aggie squad in mid-season friendlies.

You want to see us do it consistently? Do you want a rematch? We can do it consistently.

I use all friendlies as a testing bed, so whether it is mid-season or pre-season or post-season it doesn't matter. I just choose teams that will give good competition so the tests aren't skewed.

RayRay, I take no significant joy out of beating your Aggie squad. You were clearly outmatched and it never was any surprised for us to take those victories despite tweaking with tactics.

The Fremont game, however, due to it's nature between rivals and for tournament advancement I have little doubt that we not trying to pull a win away.
... and when we finally put forth a real game plan on Fremont we won 65-7.

It's unfortunate the game couldn't be closer and if you want to make Darius put his money where his mouth is and try to get the score within 20 points, feel free to send us another friendly. I've a couple of things I want to give a try to on offense which could even help your chances.

You see, sometimes owners of teams have players on other teams. This means they follow multiple teams, and may be referring to the team in the league this forum is about, as opposed to the team they own. Way to ignore my point though.

oh i got your point, but apparently you didn't get mine...and that is that we beat your AA team several times, which actually happens to be named the aggies. but from here on out we'll refer to them as baylor as the caps aggied your ass all over texas.

Yes. .250 against the superior BBB4 West and .750 against a cupcake BBB4 East with only three legit teams in it.

I think you're selling Kono way short by insinuating that he's so incompetent with the AI that a few changes would cause him to lose that bad, then flip a magic switch in the regular season.

This is not a knock on Kono. He's a respectful person and a good coordinator who deserves to work for a team that won't paint him as a bumbling idiot who can't figure out the AI until the cupcakes come to town.

Hey, by the way, since I'm the one who is pulling stuff out of thin air. You ever find that thread where I predicted Boston would beat the Caps? Oh, wait. That was just you making false accusations about me again because I didn't accept a friendly to play your bum squad, which you would have been blown out in because you were testing the AI (unless, of course, you won - then huzzah! We're the bestest ever!).

Yeah, you're repeating it all in terms easier for you to formulate but you're still not explaining why you're making those statements.

Outside of the two pre-season games, we've scrimmaged a handful of BBB West teams such as Island Shaka Brah's and LaCrosse River Rats. We won those games, by the way.

I've got a simple few points that you seem to be missing or trying very hard to dance around:
The first two pre-season games of the season after Bort's changes the Caps have historically tried pretty radical tactics in attempts to try to find exploits (ie. strong passing, specific receiver targeting, power running backs in WR slots against weak CBs, always going for it on fourth, power tackling, etc.) Usually.. almost always... these tactics are huge, epic fails.

This is Kono's first season coordinating. This is probably part of your huge gap in making any sense as you're likely oblivious to this. When Kono sat down and busted out his scheme after the first two pre-season games of this season he has rendered a ridiculously impressive defense, better than anything I ever had in place. I mean... Fremont... seven points... Goodness. Actually, I think Kono's defense is actually outscoring our opponent's offense this season. Yikes.

There are two squads in the West that could have beaten the Caps in the playoffs last season: Tulsa and French Lick once their chemistry resolved. Tulsa was clearly the better team and we'll never know with French Lick; we didn't scrimmage. It's kind of like your team, you refuse to accept our challenge so that you never have to face the humiliation Fremont was forced to by getting seeded against us in a tournament.

That's quite the lengthly retort for someone accusing someone else of being the lost puppy imo tbh.
